Knoebels Food Suggestions?

^hahaha, tis
The Tri-Taters are definitely a must-have ($.75/ea or 3/$1.75)

Waffles & Ice Cream - $2, at the same place as the tri-taters

The Mexican part of the International Food Court has good buritos (I forget how much.. I think $3.75? But worth it!) and also deep-fried brownies. $1.75 for just the brownies (3 brownie squares) and are soooo delicious! It's also available with ice cream and toppings, but I haven't yet tried that. Perhaps next time I'm there. :)

Cesari's pizza is great.. especially the taco pizza (as long as you don't have to deal with a supposed supervisor named Angela. The *only* Knoebel's employee I've ever dealt with who was extremely rude and actually called security on me when I asked for a cup of tap water...still trying to figure that one out!)

Every time I'm there I think I spend over $30 in food - but it's a LOT of delicious food.. mmmm... :)

Now I am curious. I looked it up and was worried. It seems to be more of a Cajun dish which is cool. For a minute I thought it might of been some type of chicken, like "Buffalo" wings. The thought of eating alligator freaks me out but I will try any food once, just like I will try any coaster once. If I hate it that's ok..at LEAST I tried it. :)

"Gummier than chicken" doesn't exactly sound appetizing. ;) Then again nothing could be more disgusting than caviar. ;)

I will have to try them at PPP. :)

Bite your tongue -- caviar is one of my favorite specialty foods.

Alligator is decent, although I haven't tried the "bites" at Knoebels (I'm betting they're breaded, yes?) I'm not sure I'd use "gummier" to describe it -- chewier, perhaps. I thought it was more beef-like in texture, but with the milder, "chicken"-like flavor.

Dannerman - - - > Maybe it's me...but I tried and didn't care for Cesari's. I grew up in Brooklyn and live on Long Island, so exceptional pizza isn't hard to find.

The fact that you proudly say that you are spending $30 bucks on food says something though about the over-all choices and variety...as others have posted on other topics..."Perceived value." If you are looking forward to spending $30 on food, you know it will be good.

The bottom line is that there is something for everyone and nobody walks away hungry.

I went yesterday and I have to add the Honey stung chicken to the list. And i wasn't too impressed with the Bison Burger.
I don't think you can go wrong with food at Knobels (unless you order a dish you do not like)... We typically eat at the Alamo, but that's because we generally like to have one "healthy" meal per day on our park trips...

One word....taco's.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

^Two words.... Travelin' Taco... ;)
Based on the input from this thread, I HAD to try an order of alligator bites when I was at the park on Monday. They were actually pretty good.

I'd say the consistency is somewhere between chicken and calamari (OK, squid). The breading is on the spicy side. They also give you a thick, creamy dipping sauce but I couldn't really identify any flavor to it. Overall, I'd say it was worth being adventurous.

Sounds interesting, I would probably just ask for a sample from someone else buying them before buying them myself lol.

My new favorite food is the D&D Pita at the Warf.
It is a cheesesteak with onions peppers and sauce on a pita. But you better be hungry or split it with somebody. The gator bites are great too. They are chunks of deep fried alligator meat.

I'll be at the park tomorrow and I have been doing good sticking to my diet so I might just get the Knoe-bowl salad.

Damn!! now I'm hungry

i have to add the d&d pita as my new favorite, damn that thing was huge!!! a perfect compliment to fancy fries. but yes, you're going to need a partner.
