Kinzel: "People have to eat"

above all they have a one-number centralized call center that connects to all of their locations in greater Cincinnati and No. Ky. You're speaking to someone who only takes orders in a call center, NOT a nosy, busy kitchen where they don't necessarily speak clearly..

Almost all of the larger chains in Toronto do this. Sometimes you'll hear screaming kids in the background though. The call center is actually made up of people that work from home, calls get routed to em and they punch in the orders and send them in online.

BTW I think Pizza Hut blows but I'm glad that Lost Kause enjoys it! :)

Exact same thing at Dorney Rideman. We went to the Gameday Grill, and we were one of 4 tables occupied in the restaurant. There were plenty of staff available, but they seemed distracted with other things rather then taking care of the 4 tables of patrons. The service was horrible, and there wasn't any excuse for it. The food was just a step above being fast food, and our bill was $75 for 3 adults, and 2 kids.

After leaving the park we stopped at the TGI's down the street. We had a much better meal, and our bill was only $65. I wouldn't mind spending the money in the park on food if the quality was in line with the price, but it never is at a Cedar Fair park.

I remember eating there a few times in the 90's back when it was the Red Garter Saloon. The prices were more reasonable and the service was always good. Sad to hear it has gone downhill, I guess I won't be going back there anytime soon. For being the only sit down restaurant in the park, I would have thought they would make it better than that.

Are you saying Game Day Grille is the only sit down restaurant in the park? CP has about 5 in the park and outside of the park (on the peninsula) they have like 7.
Clers trivia round 3: Besides Jay, Silent Bob, Dante & Randal, who is the only other charcter to appear in bother Clerks & Clerks 2?

Oh, on topic, when will we see Mooby's opening in Sandusky?

Pizza Hut, Burger King, Subway, Ground Round, our Cedar Point, you don't publicly state you have people by the balls.

Ground Round, there's a blast from the past. My friends and i would eat there at least 2 times a week.
Miss that place.

Tambo, Mooby's is a fictional fast food resturant from Kevin Smith's 'Viewaskewaverse" films. It was featured in Dogma & Clerks 2.

Just one of those obsure things that sticks in your brain and might be useful someday!

Who say's I have to eat at CP?

Eat before I get in the car, pack some sandwiches for when I get to the park parking lot, cooler full of food for mid-day meal, eat at a McDonalds on the way home. I may have to buy a drink and of course a froozen custard but thats it. Nice to see what they truly think of us. With how bad money is right now with everyone, who couldn't have possibly picked a worse time to say something like this.

People have to eat, but they don't need to visit your parks. At some point getting guests to the park became enough.

I also find it interesting that gate receipts have become more important than trips to the bank. There has to be price point that is perceived as a good value and still encourage in-park spending.

Gonch to answer your question from the pod-cast, Foods is the biggest part of the "in-park" per cap.

Walt Flanagan the filthy smoker!

Wrong! Kevin's MOTHER as the MILK MAID! I said character, not actor!

Brutal! I'd like to challenge.

Walt Flanagan plays "pack of smokes guy" in both films. So while forgetting about the Milk Maid it's clear there are indeed 2 answers to your question to which we both provided actor/ess and character title... Nooge.

A much better line of thought is, "People have to potty" :)

Sure you can eat before you come, pack food or leave to eat elsewhere, but are you going to leave the park everytime you have to piss?

And I know I say it all the time - pay toilets used to be a thing you saw. Bring 'em back, Dick!

(for those of you too young to remember pay toilets - enjoy this classic scene from WKRP in Cincinnati - it really was like that)

Gonch, you'd just take a leak in the bushes. :)

I have been to a few parks a few times this year and every time there is someone peeing in the parking lot. Every time!

You may want to delete that post, Gonch, before one of the CF Big Wigs actually see it and decide to bring it up at the next board meeting.

As horrific as it sounds, it IS the one thing the you HAVE TO do while in the park. Eating can wait until you walk out of the park and make your way to another place, the restroom is another story.

Pass da' sizzrup, bro!

Technically it couldn't happen.

Ohio was one of the states where pay toilets were banned in the 70's when the big backlash happened. I assume that ban still stands.

But with a bit of lobbying....
