Kings Island Fast Lane

Finally! FOL access comes to Kings Island.

"Add this brand new option to your ticket for just $50 and you'll get a wristband that allows you to go up the FAST LANE entrance on 10 of our most popular rides.

This wristband allows you access through the FAST LANE ENTRANCE as many times as you want between Noon and 7:00pm on the day of your visit."

I said it in the News forum, and I'll say it here as well. This has "gone by the end of the year" written all over it. I'll go ahead and say by the time Haunt rolls around. Isn't this almost exactly what they tried doing before, with the same name, no less? Limiting the total number of wristbands is not where its at, time-based "reservation" is.

Thats kinda how I see the monetary cut system, personally.

That's how it'll be once we get to 100% reservation based queueing. I believe Disney is already experimenting with the idea of a "queueless queue" with the new Dumbo ride that's coming down the pike.

If it is a test, this is one heck of a crude and seemingly ugly test. I get the impression this was more of a "how quickly can we put in a 'pay to cut' (this is not a VQ, not even close) scheme as cheaply as possible?" If they're doing this as a test, they would probably let me test my (extremely lacking) guitar skills on one of their stages during a show. If you want to test a VQ system, this isn't how you do it, because this is not a VQ.

To buy into this you have to choose your date at time of purchase.

No dates are available after Labor Day. So yeah, it will be gone by the time Haunt rolls around.

Ironically, Haunt is when they need it the most.

$50 to get to the front of the stupid-long Haunt lines would be even more awesome.

Hey, with FOL access I might actually ride Drop Tower for the first time!

I love the option to pay twice as much to make my day more enjoyable. No one says you always have to use it.

Wouldn't necessarily get me there, but I might finally ride some things if I were to go. :)

Thing is, most coaster people have no problem ponying up $35+ for an event that includes ERT/re-rides, etc. This is no different, except the place is open to the public at the time, and everyone's allowed to ride.

During ERT events, they don't even have that chance.
