They're probably data-mining and selling your info to other companies, or using it in-house to market to you. But that's OK, everyone does that. I think that the stuff that you're talking about sounds cool, but I'm just salivating about the idea of using this technology at parks like CP and SFGadv to give guests better experiences where they can ride rides without having to carry anything all day. From what I've read on this thread, the cell phone issue is real, and its not going anytime soon. If we can use technology to protect people from injury, its well worth it.
