And it is new for 2011. Don't forget that; it adds some constraints to the remaining superlatives.

Hi
Maybe they're getting a T-Rex Cafe? But then, they couldn't do a building like that in under a month, and it wouldn't need to be so darn big (the area inside the line behind Racer). I'm lost.
I'd still bet on some kind of Haunt attraction at this point. Being ready for this season doesn't have to mean opening day or the summer season.

Looks like a Dino walk-thru.
Ohio the WindSeeker Capital of the World!
That's one good looking T-Rex!
I really don't see a new ride system coming in for this new attraction. If it's not a walk through, I can only suspect the old car ride being used. One of the photo clues is tire tracks. It's possible.
I don't want to believe that the new video is pointless, but it doesn't seem to have any meaning at all. It opens with a red ribbon on a tree. Next, Don is looking up and all around. He looks down at the camera, and then shows a scared expression. Next is a first person account of running through the woods, possibly towards the red ribboned tree.

This gets less interesting with each updated piece of info.
Less interesting? This was pretty much straightforward from day one...knowing it was for 2011 meant that it could not possibly be a ride of any kid, and we knew it was dino-themed. I don't know...I would say kids and families will find this pretty exciting.
In one year, KI is getting Windseeker, Dinosaurs Unearthed (that's what this attraction is called...it's been on display before), and a complete overhaul of the Coney Island path (all asphalt has been removed and replaced with brick pavers).
I'd say for one season that's pretty much all anyone could ask for.

Exactly my point.
My dry cynicism was apparently lost in translation.
Let me clarify:
This wasn't very interesting to begin with and with each piece of info to come out it gets less so.
In other words, "Just when you think it couldn't suck any worse, it manages to."
Well, I certainly don't have high hopes that we'll see anything like the environment they had for that exhibition at the zoo up in Alberta. Hopefully there will be a surprise and it will look good and be popular.

Maybe all this is a diversion and they're really going to announce the demolition of Son of Beast. That would be a worthwhile announcement.
I looked up Dinosaurs Unearthed, and I am kind of excited about it. It looks like fun to me. I tend to like crap like that. The T-Rex on that website looks just like the T-Rex in the teaser photo on Kings Island's website.
Sniffing around that website, I believe it might be called Dinosaurs Alive!
Does anyone think it'll be an upcharge attraction? Does anyone think that maybe this is a limited time attraction or a permanent installation?

I just read somewhere that new pavement has been going down behind Racer, so I'm going to guess that it's a permanent attraction.
It's pretty funny that we all guessed what it is before the announcement. I patiently await the details.

I saw those dinosaurs or something similar before. It was at a zoo I think. It was kinda neat. In that third video, it looks like they set up the T-rex outside of the park, like in the parking lot. Definitely in the middle of a grassy area instead of in the woods. I'm thinking the T-rex is like an advertisement - come see the dinosaurs on display. My guess: temporary exhibit. Cedar Fair can handle maintaining animatronics for 1 season.
