KI announcing something big...

Wild guess:

Stratosoar is the name of the 2012 Knott's coaster.

The management figured the Sky Cabin area that was formerly announced for Windseeker would be utilized by the coaster, which is why the Windseeker opening was pushed back many months and is now under construction in Fiesta Village.

There. :)

If it were the name for an SOB revamp, it would be Stratosore.

My .02 is that it is the name for a new restaurant, food service stall, or merchandise shop. Hence the long wait to announce, and probably nothing bigger than that.

Animatronic Dino Walkthrough?

That was too funny. The logo says turn back the clock on thrill. This could mean so many different things from the antique cars coming back to ????

Now they're just being evil with us. ;)

Absolutely hilarious. I love the picture too, a tree with a ribbon tied on it. Classic!

Pretty funny.

Well, it's probably not a record-breaking coaster, because he said that it's coming this year, and they wouldn't have enough time to build it.

The announcement is only a week away. It's best not to get my hopes up 'till then. ;)

I have an idea. What if it's the return of the animal safari? Oh, what if it's an animal safari but with DINOSAURS? lol

The word "thrill" has a different meaning for each of us... and I can almost guarantee that a theme park's marketing department would take that very liberally.

My guess is something in the waterpark or at least a water ride. There is a flip flop in the picture with the tracks and then there is one with puddles of water.

Maybe Son of Beast is becoming Extinct. I can wish, can't I? :)

Puddles of water? Meaningless. It's been raining continuously in Ohio for the past month and a half. :)

That would be a pretty awesome announcement, John Peck. I'm still really mad at that "SOB" for kicking my butt. Maybe I should have pressed charges. lol

I'm not really expecting much with the announcement, but I am intrigued. Don Helbig gave us the following facts:

1. It will be new for this year.
2. It will be the world's largest something.
3. It will offer a spectacular outdoor setting.
4. It will include the world's largest something.
5. It's size will be "quite impressive".
6. It will be "world class".

It possibly could be the return of their safari adventure. The topography map they teased a few weeks ago could be the path that the safari follows. I would rather have a new area with a new coaster, but the park isn't going to cater to only coaster nuts like us. I did hear in the video the words "feet long". This could be how long the new coaster could be, or just the length of the safari ride.

Nnnggghhh. Wrong answer, thank you for playing.

One thing a CF park isn't going to do is bring back any animals. At least not until Dick's gone.

The return of the loop to SOB?
I know it's about as likely as Cedar Point getting Mean Streak to run well, but hey, you never know.

Some of the following is obvious...

People on the net are saying an outdoor dino walk through attraction with the largest animatronic.

If that's what it is, I don't believe the line we saw in the map drawing is a path. Look at any walking path from above and that's just not what they look like. It just doesn't flow right for it to be a path.

Someone on another website said that it could be a redo of the car ride that they have in storage. Jeeps traveling through a dinosaur exhibit sounds interesting.

Somewhere on the net, a photo was posted of Don Helbig looking at a newly designed park map. He had the map folded in such a way that the area where SOB and behind Racers was covered up., so the new attraction is not going to be at the water park or snoopyland. I say it's going to be behind Racers, because of the plans with the "path" line.

Are they shipping the old dinos from Alabama Adventure for use? That would be soooo cool!* ;)

Seriously though, I'm kind of intrigued. I'm betting on some kind of outdoor walking attraction, though the phrasing doesn't sound like it is Haunt-related. A dino haunt could be cool, though.

*I've been in that park's graveyard and got up-close to those (hard drive with the pics failed, unfortunately), and they're far beyond useable. It was really cool to see some early animatronics like that up close, though. Oh, also saw the old CP ball fountain in pieces there as well before they put it up.
