Resentment of foreign ownership is a key complaint among the Pittsburgh faithful in response to yesterday's announcement that Kennywood's parent company was sold to a Spanish company.

Just for the record - Kennywood has NOT been sold, yet. They are still in negations, and there is always the possibility that the sale will not take place.
But this is the dot-the-i-and-cross-the-t stage. Otherwise, we wouldn't have heard anything about it.

Generally, deals only get scuttled at this point if the buyer finds something they don't like about the transaction (read: CF pulling out of the Visionland sale) or something both ugly surfaces in the books or behind the scenes that no one discovered previously.

In short, it probably won't be good news if the deal falls through.

^ Like the execs of Parques Reunidos hearing that their top secret plans to turn Kennywood into a big taco stand are out of the bag. :)
Think what you might, but as of yet there are no i's to dot or t's to cross.
This deal is no where near final. FYI.

Yeah... there's a whole lot more involved than i's and t's.

(Edited to remove secrets.)
