Is SFGAm worth the trip

RB wasn't even the first hyper-twister. Fujiyama was. RB was the first US hyper-twister. Once again SF is messing up the ad campaigns.

Yes, but at least "Hyper-twister" is a much more subjective title.  I think that's how they "legitimize" it, and really, if you look at both coasters, RB is so much more twisted anyway.  At least, IMO, it is.
At least they didn't say it was the world's first flying coaster!  LOL. :)

Why is Apollo's Chariot considered a hyper twister, It doesn't twist nearly as much as Raging Bull???

My Top steel: Millennium Force, Magnum XL-200, Raging Bull, Desperado, Speed the Ride. Wood: Viper, American Eagle, Twister II, Zeus, Cyclops.
I think the AC classification is like most of them, it's subjective. Twister to most people simply means that the ride has a lot of cross-overs while I take a more stringent approach and usually only call a ride a twister if it emphasizes laterals over airtime ala the Wildcat @ HP, Legend @ HW, Twister @ Knoebel's and so on.

As for whether SFGAm is worth the trip...hells yes it is! They have a decent Hyper in RB, a very, very nice woodie in Viper and a nice selection of everything else, it makes for a lot of variety which is always good IMO.

Of course this advice to go *is* coming from someone who thinks that *every* park is worth the trip at least once so feel free to take it with a grain of salt :-)
