Absolutely gator... You can be pretty certain that the genious mind's at IOA could find a way to theme pretty much any ride they choose to their park. I've often thought about the possible placement/theme of a wooden coaster in the park, and I always come up with one thing. My "crazy idea" has always been a "rooftop" wooden coaster to the effect of Cornball Express in Toon Lagoon, featuring an extra layer of themed wooden supports on top of the basic structure. These themed supports would be broken, smashed, mechanincally swinging ("dangling"), or even bulging outward to give the appearance of a cartoonish ride about to collapse. The fact is anything is possible, and certainly nothing is too outragious to consider at such a park.
As far as a future Jurrassic Park attraction goes, from what I've seen there is plenty of room in the grassy lot next to the River Adventure building. Certainly I feel a nice sized B&M flyer would fit there, but at this point have no reason to believe it's anything more than a rumor. While it would be great, the overwhelming popularity of Spiderman makes me think that another high tech indoor attraction is not so far fetched.
Whatever the next expansion project is, I for one hope (and partially expect) it happens within the next year or two.

I'd Rather Be Riding Roller Coasters

Whoa, wait a second... a wooden coaster not fit the theming?
Six Flags didn't name two of their wooden rides "Roar" for no reason here. I think a T-Rex themed wood coaster would work just fine. And as for theming it to something in the comics area... My goodness, there are so many weird things on the pages of Marvel Comics that there couldn't possibly not be something appropriate (actually, a monster woodie with green trains called "The Incredible Hulk" comes to mind... but, alas...).
Now, I'm not saying that they're going to build a woodie, or that they even have room for one. I'm just saying that I think you guys are underestimating the possibilities for themeing wooden coasters.

The Jeep attraction would be absolutely awesome. It would integrate flawlessly with the island and movie. The biggest problem is probably cost. I could definitely see how it could quickly become more costly than even spiderman. Besides, what's the climax? An offroad course through the jungle with a T-rex charging behind you? That would be damn difficult to pull off. Maybe the climax would be the T-rex slashing your jeep off the side of a cliff, like in the movie. "Upside down" stuff is pretty difficult to pull off in a simulator and actually throwing the Jeep off the cliff would be just a tad bit detrimental to the jeep, not to mention the people inside.
If the first half or so of the ride was actual moving and the second half / climax was a simulated experience (cross Countdown to Extinction with Spider-man) then I could definitely see a Jeep attraction become one of the primary attractions.

Haveing been employed at IOA and being a citizen of JP, I can give my 2 cents on the subject.
A balloon that looked to be about 150 feet was raised somewhere in the area behind the old Thunder Falls resturaunt. I believe this to indicate where the tallest point of a proposed attraction would be located so that the designers could see how it would impact the rest of the park.
One rumor has been that they want to build a prototype indoor flying coaster with a Pteranodon theme. The other is that they want to build the Jeep Adventure ride that was supposed to be on the other side of JPRA when the park opened.
Last I heard, they haven't yet decided between the two.
The plot of free land between Flying Unicorn and River Adventure isn't as large as everyone thinks. A small break area is connected to the restrooms beside the Pizza Preditoria, and behind that is the land in question. Let me tell you that Unicorn has taken up almost half of this area. It's now no bigger than the land taken up by JPRA's queue.
On the other side of JPRA, where the balloon was launched from, is where all of the free land is. TONS of it; more than enough for another HULK or Spiderman.

When was the ballon launched?

I just went to IOA last month and I was shocked by how small the park was. Sure it was a great park, the only park that might be better than Cedar Point that I've been to, but it doesn't seem like they have any space left at all! I don't even think they can buy more land becuase if they can, they better soon. Why you make such a new park in such a small section of land is beyond me.However, I agree that a woodie would seem weird but there is not one wooden coaster in all the parks in Orlando. If I was in charge of the Islands, I would do such.
1)Attempt to buy more land
2)Build a BM indoor flying coaster themed in a aviary from JP3. I liked the idea of T-Rex jumping up at you when you get into a airtime hill. I would make it extremely compact.
3)Along with the flying coaster, build another book attraction( a la Cat in the Hat) to the Grinch.
4) In the future..Finally open the Driving Ride(forget the name) at Suess Landing and build a wild mouse there. Add a water coaster in Toon Lagoon, remove Pdereadon Flyers(add the JP jeep attraction) and a underground WOODEN coaster themed to orcs from LOTR (if possible).
Wooden- station underground, beginning, no lift just small drop out of the statio, hear noises, bumps stuff like that, hear the drums, go up lift hill, ride.
The balloon in question was launched in the summer or Fall of '01; I can't quite remember. Sorry that I didn't say that the first time.
Let me say that this launch wouldn't set anything in stone. Nothing is set in stone in the amusement industry. This would be done only to see where the tallest point of a proposed attraction would reside and what it would look like from other areas nearby. It could pass or fail either way.
I am guessing that we will see one of the two rumored attractions sometime soon. I remember reading here that it depended on '02s attendance.
My opinion is that they need a new ride soon. I think that they will spread out the timeline for new attractions as much as they can because of the limited space.

I like all of your ride ideas, however IOA is small because it was te only place the could squeeze the park into. Universal wante a second gate and built it on the site of the old car park. Since they rely on repeat vistors less then other domestic parks they will not need to expand. Therefore scarificing space the to expand but to produce the best themed park in America is a fair compramise.

"He's gross,... He ain't gettin' none of this!"
Just because the park is small, doesn't mean that they can't add attractions. As is the case with other land-locked parks, they will just build up instead of out. If the park were to add a flying coaster to, say, the Jurassic section, I'm sure it would look better over the existing section instead of a new (empty) section like DD was built on top of.
