Intamin Hyper vs. B&M Hyper

I personally have never been on either but I am looking forward to the day I do. It'll be awesome. Anyways, I have been studying different types of trains, i.e., the way the cars are connected, restraints, and wheel arrangement and maneuvers. One thing I have noticed is that INTAMIN uses an articulated train style(the back wheels of one car are the front of the one behind it, the first car is exempt from this) and B&M uses a trailered style(each car is supported by it's wheels and the back of the car in front of it, except the zero car and front car are one whole car). So, I do know that the articulated trains have been somewhat rougher than B&M's trailered style. So which ones are smoother? B&M, or INTAMIN?

Hahaha, that's what I love about these things. I love reading peoples opinions on stuff like this, especially the 2 leading coaster manufacturers.

B&M is definatly better they are very smooth while Intamin are pretty rough and fell like a wood. B&M,s also give better air time especially in the front.
Intamin...definitely. Medusafanatic, have you ever ridden an Intamin hyper or giga? Considering that you say they are rough, I guess not. Go ride MF. I felt no roughness whatsoever on that ride! Or S:ROS at SFNE...no roughness on that, either. Intamin makes the best hyper/giga coasters!!!!!! Also, Intamin is cheaper for parks, so they will be the designer of choice.

Intamin for sure...I have ridden S:ROS (SFNE) and Nitro, and I really enjoyed the ride I got on S:ROS alot better, it was smoother than Nitro. Intamin gets my vote.
i have been on an intamin hyper and i loved it. but i really want to ride nitro. i think that both companies have the strong points and week points-but i really dont think that one company has rougher coasters than the other. intamin i think is built on speed, B&M is built on airtime. thats just my opinion and thats also what it looks like to me. i dont prefer either one, i just want both companies to give a good ride-and to me thats all that matters.
Intamin definitely. I rode Nitro and S:ROS at SFNE and both are smooth and wonderful rides filled with air. The difference is Intamin are more ejector and B&M more floater. I would say that Nitro is better than S:ROS at SFA, but not SFNE.

DOsen't matter to me.. Both companies produce amazing rides, and therefore I don't have a higher opinion of one over the other!
Intamin
The ride on both the Intamin and B&M hypers is quite smooth. B&M might be slightly smoother, but both are so smooth that it makes no real difference. I've only ridden one B&M hyper, but my favorite hypers are the Intamins for the wide open feel of the cars and the ejector air.

8 feet higher and a 6.5 feet longer drop, could never contest with a 80 degree, non-braking giga-coaster... Sorry, Steel Dragon 2000
Ive been on 2 Intamin hypers and 1 B&M. The intamins were SRoS @SFDL and MF. The B&M was Apollo's Chariot. MF was much smoother than SRoS, the trains were even a little different, MF's lap bar is more cushioned. But both of those rides combined didnt give the airtime os Apollo's chariot. For the full effect of the B&M trains stick your legs out on drops, i look like an idiot in my picture but it feels awesome. So the answer is B&M

My favorite Coaster is named after Poop, and I actually like Boomerangs! What is wrong with me?
Why do we always have to be in fear that a topic will be shut down, I find other people's opinions on things really interesting. This is a very good topic and I hope it doesn't get closed. I love B&M Hypers much better than Intamin. Even though Superman: RoS at SFNE is higher on my favorites than Nitro @ SFGAdv, it's only because of the cool layout of superman. B&M's run so much smoother and are more open, to give you a better feeling.

Most of you all just like Intamin because of Millenium Force.B&M is way better.
The winner is: B&M. For a couple of reasons. The trains on a B&M hyper are very appealing (to me, but I don't know about the rest of y'all). The pre-drop on a B&M hyper (Raging Bull, Apollo's Chariot) are awesome if you are seating in the back because it "pulls of over." If you are in the front, you get a great view. The B&M hyper can seat 4 in each row. So if a B&M is running a three train operation, the line goes very quickly. Can an Intamin do that?

Maybe you're right, busch gardens1, but has B&M made a Millennium Force? I could say "Most of you only like B&M because of Nitro. Intamin is way better." What else are you going to judge a company by? The employee's looks? No. You judge Intamin hypers by how good the ones you have ridden are. MF is a great ride, much better than RB, IMO, so I like Intamin hypers more.

Bull rides: 81
Shockwave rides: 55
Well Millennium Force's drop is so steep that it goes so quickly. Raging Bull's drop is at a 65 degree angle and you get more time to be on the drop, and then you go into a tunnel. Millennium Force is great ride, but the drop is so quick, but Raging Bull's drop is a less of a steep angle drop.

actually B&M was originally called to make Millennium Force, that ride wouldv'e been so much better if it was B&M. There would be more than one spot of airtime.
