I submitted mine at 10:58 AM

Here were my guesses:
1. Map of Indiana (with Monticello Marked)

4. Shafer Queen
5. Ferris Wheel
6. Hoosier Hurricane

Bah, oh well. I just found out on this morning's blog that I won the first contest. And since I got 6 of the 7, I'm technically entered to win the drawing. I'm just happy I won something!

Good eye Wabash Cannonball!

Josh M.

Congrats Josh! Let us know what you get :-P When are they going to announce this thing! I'm tempted to drive down there and see if they have started construction yet!

I'm anxious to know what's going on also. IB is my home park and I make the trip many times each summer so I am also mighty anxious for a new ride. Glitch drive down there and look though the fence by the road that led to the cottage that IB bought off those ladies that were complaining about the noise a few years back.

Josh, your technically wrong, you said ferris wheel for #5. The correct answer is Gondola Wheel, perhaps they will accept Ferris Wheel anyway. Also if that doesn't happen to be Earl in that photo you will not be entered in the drawing either.

Ok... let's just move on before this thread gets closed.

To answer your original question gut... I happen to really enjoy Indiana Beach. It's not anywhere near the size of Kings Island or Cedar Point, but it offers a unique setting, a nice collection of rides and coasters, and great tacos :)

Josh M.

OMGoodness can we talk about some coasters or Indiana Beach?

So it looks blatantly obvious that IB is getting an el loco coaster. Where is it going? Will it be where the Chaos was? That would be an extremely tight squeeze but if anybody can do it its definitely IB. If its not going there, will there be a second ride replacing that area? That area being empty would be a horrible eyesore.

Josh M. I will have to try the tacos next time. Also those freezes that are sold in those tall glasses are amazing, last time I had them mix strawberry and pina colada, delicious!!!

Mind you, even a tiny difference, such as that between 0 and 0.000126, can make a world of difference.

Well I got my prize today, and it's pretty cool!

It appears to be an album that was distributed to the media for the 2007 season. The cover is actually a bent Indiana license plate with IB crow and such on it. The front half inside is a photo album with photos and descriptions of their attractions, then a few blank pages to place my own photos. The back has a media CD-ROM with photo galleries, press releases, etc. Then there are 3 DVDs. One is called Indiana Beach (I assume a documentary). The second is called The Corn Strikes Back (Not sure), and finally one called "IB Crow's Memories". It looks to contain all the IB commercials from 1986-2006.

Overall, I'm quite happy! Good luck to the rest of you on the other contests!

I happen to own a copy of the IB documentary. It is a very good historical film and is done very well. It of course goes all the way back to 1923 when the park opened as a swimming beach. I think it goes through 5 chapters that bring us up to the modern day. There are a lot of great clips of long lost attractions. It is available for purchase at the IB gift shop for 10 bucks. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I've watched mine about 6 times in the last 2 years.
The new blog entry states what exactly the clues were. It states that Something Special was a clue, so its obvious its an el loco coaster. It also states that the contracts have been signed. It eludes that we won't have to wait much longer for the announcement.

It also states that one of the clues is "one CRAZY crow"... Crazy in spanish is.... ::ding ding:: loco.

Josh M.

Interesting. I can't wait for the official announcement. I wonder if the blog will include construction photos once they get started?

Look at the latest blog entry from IAAPA. That is certainly very interesting. I don't know what to make of this.

Anyone know who the guys in the last row are?
The picture at IAPPA has

Front row: Biil Robinson (PR), Tom Spackman, Jr., Ginny Davis, Ruth Davis

Back Row: Jim Davis, Andrew Davis, John Robinson (PR), T.J. Davis

Ah...so they're all from the park. I thought perhaps the guys in the back row worked for a ride company.
Oh boy...another blog today teasing us. Just tell us what it is already :-P

Or, see the IAAPA update over on Screamscape. While IB is not mentioned by name anyone smart enough to put the clues together can figure it out.
By the blog site would this make the name of the ride Evil Cornevil?..

Intimidator 305 the tallest most hated coaster nobody has ever ridden...
