If Rivertown at PKI is ruined.......

Yeah, let me rephrase a little bit. the past few years at PKI have been really good, and I have the feeling that whatever they do it will be well thought out, and not too upsetting. What does upset me is just THE THOUGHT that something bad is going on back there in the woods.

Don't touch the watch.
I don't think PKI would jeopardize the 'scenic' sensibility that The Beast has for the new ride. My guess is it will be contained in the area of the woods directly behind KCKC, leaving a row of high shade trees to create a barrier between the two rides. That is, if it is indeed, a coaster or water coaster. If it's a dark ride, I doubt much room will be needed at all.

I went on opening weekend and walked up WWC's exit queue to take a look at the wooded area behind the bridge in the railroad tracks. The wooded area in that valley would be ideal for a coaster or water ride and it shouldn't wreck the notion of 'Rivertown' as we know it, unless the theming were way off base.

My biggest hope for the area is that the current KCKC area of queue and station house will be turned into a wider area to walk around in. Maybe they will get rid of the red wall at the start of the Beast line and make that area wider. It couldn't hurt.

Personally, anything they do to 'revive' the area is ok by me, as long as it stays in theme and makes the area more interesting than it is now. To me, 2 rides does not a park section make. Then again, look at Oktoberfest, the other neglected section that really shouldn't exist. I think either Coney Mall should encompass Adventure Express and Viking Fury, or Action Zone (which would be a better choice). I say build a path behind King Kobra (by Ad Express entrance) and connect it to the area between Days of Thunder and the bathrooms, thus creating a 'loop' of Action Zone. Oktoberfest, save Festhaus and some other shops and eateries, is a joke section for the most part anyway. Not like it used to be.

PKI really hasn't completely destroyed my childhood memories of the park, but next year we'll see how much that'll change.

Hey, it's called expansion. For example, I was convinced that Cedar Point was going to destroy Frontier Trail by cutting all the trees they did to make way for MF. But, once the existing trees filled in, it looked fine.

PKI knows what they are doing.
Ravenguy - please C H I L L O U T.

PKI is not stupid.

And the Beast is not God.

If you guys want all these hypers and gigas, then something is going to have to give. I like the theming of Rivertown also, but sometimes, change is good.
