If Rivertown at PKI is ruined.......

I will cry. Seriously. This new project scares me to death, and it seems as though so many of you are happy to have the serenity of Rivertown ruined. Maybe I really don't want a new coaster or ride there.

If they do it right, theming the new ride to a goldmining-style town should be no problem

Yeah, but if they do it wrong, the most charming section of the park will be gone. Look what happened to that pretty little area known as adventure village.

I think that the goldmining theme is great. Lets just hope that whatever they put in rivertown, that it has the appropriate theaming.

I seriously hope that they spen the extra money to theme the new attraction(s) to the theme of River Town. If they don`t then one of the best themed area of the parks will be lost forever!

Its a nice relaxing area back there, I don't like the asphalt, but hey, its their budget. It would be nice if they could addsome more shops and a show back their, somewhat like the frontier trail at CP

Hey its Paramounts...Look how they made an unusually named attraction, FoF,have perfect theming. They have it all figured out I'm sure. I don't think they'd ever "ruin" or "destroy" River Town. There's just no chance. I don't know what you guys are worried about because PKI always has a great idea or a little trick of their own that always brings in the people and at the same time not ruining the surroundings that its built by. That's why they are in the Top 10. Don't worry I'm positive the PKI staff won't screw it up.

Who knows....Rivertown might come back better than ever! I hope so. I still sort of think that the KCKC spot would be perfect for the Swing Thing.

I don't think they'll build a Swing Thing as they already have 4 suspended/hanging coasters. But it could happen. Another water ride(liquid coaster!) would be nice though.

What exactly is a liquid coaster?

A liquid coaster is like BuzzSaw Falls, designed by Premier Rides. Or it could be Super Saturator designed by Setpoint at Paramount`s Carowinds. I know that Paramount`s Kings Island has already decided what their 2002 attraction will be. I`m sure that they will fit it into the rivertown theme. I can`t wait to find out what the new ride(s) will be. If I remember correctly I heard that Jeffrey Siebert said that there will be several rides for the parks 30th birthday.

I did hear that Vortex will be getting its long overdo paint job because next year will be its 15th b-day. When I asked Jeffrey Siebert, he said even though it is Vortex's b-day it has not been confirmed if it wiil get painted. I hope Vortex gets a little TLC next year. :)

Okay - maybe I'm dense, but I thought the Super Saturator was a Swing Thing-type ride. No, it isn't - ?? Then what is a Swing Thing? I thought they were talking about building something called a Swing Thing somewhere in the northeast, and that it was supposed to be a longer, and higher, version of the Super Saturator.

What do they want Vortex to do - rust away?

PKI won't get a Swing Thing(which is not a liquid coaster), because:

1)They have 4 hanging coasters
2)They have 6 pretty much family coasters
3)PKI is in the midwest
4)A swing thing isn't a very special addition for an anniversary of the #1 Paramount park(sorry PGAers, I'm sure PM was a letdown)
5)2 of the hanging coasters were family coaster and one just opened this year
6)Especially not in 2002

Fine.
Obviously I'm dense. I still don't know what a Swing Thing is. ;)
Bring on the liquid coaster. I think - ?

Okay, a swing thing is what you obviously thought it was, and a Super Saturator is pretty much a swing thing but with water cannons and other watery stuff....

Listen to me:

They ruined Adventure Village by cutting down all trees, and creating the garish, hot, and unpretty Action Zone. Its a travesty that i will never get over, and if it happens to River Town, then many many people will be uspet.

You got that right! :( If they ruin the feel of Rivertown, it would be an incredible waste. The feel of that part of the park is one of my favorites things about PKI. UNLESS....(just occured to me)... they recreate Rivertown somewhere else, like beyond the Beast and Vortex! That would be a fabulous idea.

Okay, so what I want is NOT the Swing Thing, but the Super Saturator, right? Or is that a liquid coaster? I'm confused.
