Note how the outer rails control the pitch of the seats. The outer rails vary in distance from the main rails. As the the outer rails get away from the main rails, a tie rod pushes (or pulls) a lever on the seat assembly to rotate it. That means precise control over rotation.
Thanks Tornado and Millennium Force for the spots!
i just got news arrows website is down until further notice

Please "Agent Johnson" go on. I'd love to hear everything that you know. (Note correct use and spelling.)
Agent, you work for Arrow? Did you leak this on purpose to start the rumblings about what this thing is?

Everybody calm down, the coasters do not open for another fifteen minutes.
Camel: Indeed!

How dare you vanquish the Steel Phantom without his consent? Fear the Phantom's Revenge.
Agent Johnson is a representative for Arrow Dynamics. Tell ya what Johnson, you give me some info, and I will give you anything you want ;)
So, anyone got any idea when we may hear something official from Arrow? Their site is still down due to "recent events" which has to be the pirate photos.
My question is, How are they going to load riders up on that thing? Are they going to load them up on each side of the track?

www.geocities.com/byostie Can you take me higher? (CREED)
They would HAVE to load on both sides of the platform, and probably have separate loading/unloading platforms. It would be like loading a racing coaster, no big deal really. I wish Arrow would give us some details, but considering the circumstances, I understand their current silence.
I want to drop down a hill upside down.

You will get your chance Daisybean.
I just can't wait for a few years from now, when it gets all it's kinks out it being a prototype and all, cause from what I've seen it looks cool, but like sloppy.. I don't know.. But now we know why it's called "Fourth Dimension"; the four rails, and four seats.
This 4th Dimension reminds me alot of a Suspended Coaster, like a big turn, or ect decides if it will flip or not, so the coaster may not loop, but you will deffinitley go upside down.
The design will probably have alot of hills, ect.
I don't like this design at all.

Hey folks! I like Arrow's idea just as much as the next enthusiast, but let's be honest about all of this. Good ideas are merely good ideas until they become excellent realities. Remember how Arrow was all set to install Arrowbatics all over the themepark landscape? Guess what? We have yet to see one. And for this fourth dimension - who in their right mind would buy this, considering Arrow's reputation for rough track. Talk about wanting to puke before I even get on the ride.
Hey, I am all for it, but with Intamin making a fabulous return to the market, Vekoma's stock rising, CCI and GCI being the wood makers of choice, and B&M the hands down favorite for steel, do we really believe Arrow can once again rise to prominence? When the good idea become reality, pinch me, and we'll all wake up.
Sure, we will all have to hold our breath for an installation, but it sure is innovative. I applaud their efforts. That is such a wild concept, and they actually took the idea and made it a reality. As for their "rough track" they could certainly have worked out the problems they had when they allowed a gap between the running rail and the upstop wheels. That would be an easy problem to solve, especially if you were redesigning the track and train anyway.
Mauer-Shone has showed that there is always room ofr one more, an Arrow is still a well known name among park owners. They have made several mad mouse coasters in aditon to the TT. If they can keep the cost resonable, I am sure that someone will buy it.

Has anyone rode Tennessee Tornado lately? Come on people! If you were to blindfold someone and have them get in it, they would think it is a B&M! It is as smooth as glass!
Don't worry about them having rough track. Yes maybe on the proto but it is just what it says, proto meaning still working out the kinks. Give them a break!
Everyone has become spoiled rotten by B&M and Intamin. There are other VERY good coaster designers out there.
I believe even if this doesn't get installed it will still mark Arrows come back. It shows that they are still on the top of inovation and that they are not dead!
Just because one ride did not do good doesn't mean that they are immediately dead. All you have to do is look as Schwartzkopt. How many times did they bounce back from bankrupcy? And look some of their coasters are still the most beloved in the world! Mindbender at SFOG comes to mind!
I'll get off my soapbox now. :-)

"Women are perfect" - Joe Peschi ("With Honors" )
I bet you it's Arrow's prototype called the 4D, and the first one will go to SFMM and they will name it X, and it will be delayed for a while, then open to much praise, then close again for a while, then open to more praise, all in the middle people complaining of 6-7 hour waits, one train operation, and tons of down time. That's just my guess though....
