How do you say your home park?

I still say Geauga Lake. Never do I call it Six Flags Worlds of Adventure. When people say, "Oh, I am going to Six Flags this weekend!" (Referring to WoA) I'll say, "Which one?" Or when people say, "Let's go to the Sea World side now!" I'll say, "You mean the "wildlife" side."

-----------------
Take a good look at Six Flags Worlds of Adventure because in a few years the "wildlife" side will look exactly like ride side does, a zoo.

darien lake :P one time my friend said "i want to go to six flags" and i said "which one" and she got confused. :)
I usually refer to Six Flags Great America as just Six Flags or just Great America. I never really say Six Flags Great America as a whole.

Whenever somebody says that someone else is "MIA" (Missing in Action) I always think of Michigan's Adventure which is my "home park," but then that leads to thoughts of Cedar Point, my "much more visited park"..........

-----------------
Welcome back riders, how was your ride...Enjoy your day, here at Cedar Point, America's roller coast.

Out of my 3 homeparks Heres the run down.

Hersheypark is the same.

Dorney Park is just Dorney.

And Knoebels has a few, either Knoebels, The Grove, or Knoebels Grove some people even call it Kno blows but thats usually just the kids who went there for ages and think more coasters makes a better park.

-----------------
Knoebels visits in 2002. 3

when i wore a SFMM shirt in February said, "why doesnt your shirt say FLIGHT?" and "Six Flags is closed"

BTW it was an X shirt, if u didn't get it

I say, "Lets go to Cedar Point: America's Rockin' Roller Coast." People generally look at me strange afterward

"The opposite of war isn't peace, its creation," Rent.

Michigans adventure = "michigans adventure"or "MIA"

Cedar Point = "Cedar Point" or "The Point"

SFWOA = "Six Flags" or "Six Flags worlds of Adventure"

SFGA = "Great America"

SFoG = "Six flags over georgia"

I know it pretty plain...

-------------
I fool so feelish....

I was talking to my friend from California and he said "I'm going to Magic Mountain today. I was at Marine World a few days ago."

-----------------

I usually just say Knotts, but sometimes I will call it "the farm."

As for Disney's California Adventure, I haven't ever said that full name. Usually just DCA or California Adventure.

Paramount's Carowinds = Carowinds

Paramount's Kings Dominion = Kings Dominion

Paramount's Kings Island = Kings Island

Busch Gardens Williamsburg = Busch Gardens

Six Flags Over Georgia = Six Flags

Its either:

Kennywood

CP

or "the overpriced, poorly laid out place with no bathrooms" (Six Flags ... I dont even know what the "designation" of it is - the one that would fit this set of parks =) )

I always just say PKI, but everyone gets confused. Most people know it be KI.

(I live in Ohio)

We say Cedar Point, or Kennywood, or Six Flags (no WoA), or Kings Island (no P).

-----------------
Why do they report power outages on TV?

I live 20 minutes from my hometown park and most of the time everyone I know, including myself, just say.....We're going to Carowinds, with no Paramount in front. Either way I go I live about 3 hours from SFoG, BGW, and PKD. So we just say we're going to Six Flags, Busch Gardens, and King's Dominion.

In Atlanta, everyone just says Six Flags (you can probably hear it on the traffic report ever morning lol). When I was in Toronto, PCW was "Wonderland" (no Paramount or Canada's) and SFDL was just "Darien Lake" but I called it Six Flags since I have only been since it was owned by SF.

-----------------
My two favorite coasters are named Superman.

Up here in SFGAm country, people ages 12-18 call it Six Flags, 18-40 call it Great America, and 50 to dead still call the place Marriotts. No one ever says "Six Flags Great America", but some still say "Marriotts Great America."

Oh and the dull-witted guests call Southwest Territory "Western Land" and CouNTy Fair is called CounTRy Fair.

We all call SFGAm Great America or Six Flags. But I really hate when my friends ask if there a Great America in a certian state. I always say it would be a Six Flags, not a Great America. They can't get it right

-----------------
"These Hardy Boy's books aren't too bad either. This one's about smugglers! They're all about smugglers dad. No, not this one, The Smugglers of Pirate's Cove, it's about pirates" This summer - SFOG, SFGAM, BGW, Las Vegas, SFMM, and KBF!!!

I NEVER say Knott's Berry farm...it's just too long!

Sometimes I do say Knott's Berry Farm in it's entirety, but I'm never sure if the emphasis should be on "Berry" or "Farm" - i've heard it both ways.

-----------------
WARNING: May be habit forming

I always refer to SFEG as just Elitch's which is how most people say it. Some people just say Six Flags, but that doesn't seem nearly as common as Elitch's.

I almost never refer to a park in it's entire name, unless it's something simple like Lakeside or Cedar Point.
