How About an "Anything" Forum?

To talk about coasters, DDR or occasionally pancakes: Come here.

To pass some idle time on your kick-ass job: Come here.

To talk about other stuff: Turn off your computer, go outside and make new friends.

First off, I don't have to justify my decisions. I pay the bills so I can pretty much do whatever I want.

Second, there is a DDR subculture in the ranks of roller coaster enthusiasts, and as such it's an appropriate topic.

Since the food lines at coaster events are often longer than the ride lines, I think we need a food forum. All food, all the time.

How about a "call your friends" forum.

Seriously, these forums are for coaster enthusiasts looking for discussion on the amusement industry. I come here for info and chatter about the amusement industry, because it is such a specific interest of mine. Not many of my friends share the same passion I (and many of us) do. This site helps facilitate this odd obsession with coasters (and related items), that most of us can't come about just anywhere.

When I want to discuss "anything," I chat with friends. Work, church, family, old college buddies, etc. Unless you're terrified of human contact, I don't see the point of adding a 'whatever you feel like' forum.

d00d, DDR is not all techno. It's also trance, J-pop, house, rap, even some R&B, rock, etc. And I listen to metal, too; you don't have to pigeonhole yourself.

Besides, EVERYONE likes DDR, just some people haven't tried it yet. ;)

A day is a drop of water in the ocean of eternity. A week is seven drops.

Those techno bands are pretty talented. . . . .

The creators of techno music have about as much talent as P Diddy does to create his own songs. "Why did The Police steal another song from P Diddy? Damn sting and his antics."

------------------
As Mitch always said, "2-in-1 is a BS term, because 1 is not big enough to hold 2. That's why 2 was created.."
-Tomas

Techno bands are more talented than anyone who sings Top 40. At least the techno guys mix their own music. All the Britneys and Celine Dions do is sing what some writer puts in front of them.

Strongbad has a pretty good explanation of techno...

I don't know what techno is, I don't like metal, I've never seen a DDR machine and I never visited the DDR forum.

I most likely wouldn't visit an "anything" forum either. I get enough boring random chit-chat at work.

But I do find these types of topics amusing :)

Jeff you run this site like a dictator and many people obveously love to kiss your a$$. Many times I've seen you say somethig bad about a person on this site and your little cronies just jump right in and say "yes Jeff, your right Jeff, anything you say Jeff." Jeff, your not a king and your not a god so stop acting like your one, your just some nerd that owns a website. I don't feel like putting up with your overmodderated, unopinionated bullshi* site anymore.

Needless to say I'm leaving the site. I doubt any of you care.

And Jeff, why dount you pick up a guitar and see how hard it is to make a good song you scumbag.

I agree 100%.

About Techno, it's amazing. Ever since I started getting into it about a year ago, it's quickly become my favorite type of music. I really looove vocal and ambient, it's just too good for words. It's funny to look through my playlist because you'll come along Marilyn Manson, Godsmack, Sevendust, ATB, Christopher Lawrence, and DJ Tiesto.

By the way, Cybnus 12. You should go hang out with all the other kiddies that hate this site for no reason except for their lack of intellect at SFN.

Crap... the hammer had to drop before Captain Obvious got his shot. He had a good one earlier on GTTP today.

Too bad Cygnus12 will never know just how much fun it is to be me. I can't imagine getting my panties so far in a bunch over some megalomaniac nerd with an "overmodderated, unopinionated bullshi* site" that I couldn't just let the issue die.

And unlike some corporate rock little twit, I appreciate most every form of music (country being the lone exception).

What time does the water show start?

Wow I can't deal with country either.

It sucks because I come from a "hick town" where country is the norm. (throwing up) ;-)

Wow, of all of these comments are 'unopinionated', I would hate to see what would happen if some of you characters really started to voice your opinion. :) Honestly, how fun would an unopinionated website be? That kind of nulls the whole point of conversation.

Edit: Jeff, how do I become a cronie? Is there intense training involved? :)

Thanks for the site, seeing annoying people who can't let something slide off their back leave because they don't like how the site is run makes my $20 worthwhile.

Hmmmm... I don't know many sites run by dictators...

Dictator (thinking to himself): "What shall I do today... terrorize the population... shoot political opponents... take over the national press... invade a neighboring country... update my web site?"

Cygnus12 then went on to say: "Needless to say I'm leaving the site. I doubt any of you care. "

Well, at least one part of that post had a ring of truth...

And then Cygnus12 closed by saying: "why dount you pick up a guitar and see how hard it is to make a good song you scumbag."

Didn't the song "It's hard to make a good song, you scumbag" lose out to "Life feels so meaningless since my pick-up done broke down" at last years Country Music awards?

Tact is for people not intelligent enough to comprehend sarcasm...;)

Cap'n Obvious sez:

Make fun of a SingleNut12 post? How?

This dork was more of a CPG hijack type than Captain Obvious material. Remember, the Captain is never actually funny--he only explains to you why other people are so friggin hilarious. On the scale of merely banal to boring, SingleNut12 could put Ritalin kids into a coma. He wasn't like watching paint dry...he was more like watching it age, get brittle and finally chip. You'd have to stretch out the word 'booooooooooring' for at least five minutes so people would get some idea...and they'd still have no clue.

He just wasn't worth the effort.
