Eh, I'll just join SleepBuzz Club instead; it's cheaper. :)

That would be nice; when I got home from Great Adventure, the Mr. Six music was running through my head and kept me awake.

Of course when you fell asleep you had some creepy old bald guy chasing you around.

Before you can be older and wiser you first have to be young and stupid.

Thanks for starting this thread (Jeff gets complaints if I start a thread about our own event, so I try to play nice).

Glad you like it! Paula

Seriously? He gets complaints if you start a thread? By who?

I wish all parks would come in and start threads about their own events.

^It's "by whom", LOL, but I'm sure it happens - "why isn't that considered spamming but my thread about selling aerial photos, park maps, etc. IS considered spamming"?

Yes, all PARKS should come in and discuss their events....but I can readily understand why Jeff has to draw *a* line somewhere...

P.S. Josh is coming to "our" event...the one in Indiana, the one with The Voyage! :)

There is always someone around to bitch and moan, plus spammers, so unfortunately, yeah, kinda got let things crop up organically.

LOL, Paula (and others!) should just start submitting it to news.

To me, it's one thing for people to use the site to sell their own stuff, which obviously goes against certain terms of service, but another for a park to promote an event, when, well, this is a site about creating coaster BUZZ.

Crop up organically? Is that what I smelled? (Remember, my husband's a farmer.)

Tek, if you can manage to hang out a few extra days, we are going to CP after HWN.

And when you say Gator knows everybody, does that mean in the biblical sense? ;)

Go to PPP Tek, and I'll see you there! :)

Better still, go to Orlando next month; I'm there Feb7th-11th. :)

There are certainly some parks that would play nice and use this site to promote legitimite events, but I don't think it would take long before we start to see a bunch of crap like "Come to our park for our $4.99 hot dog basket event!!!"

With the size of net that the members of this site can cast I don't think there are any real events that we are not made aware of. I think Jeff's rule makes sense.

Tekwardo's avatar

I don't think we would see "Come to our park for our...blablabla" because anyone who has read the site long enough should know as soon as that started, we'd all pounce.

Well that's usually the issue... people don't read anything, they just show up and start posting. It hasn't been a "hot dog basket event," but pretty close in terms of things we'd care about.

Jeff - Editor - CoasterBuzz.com - My Blog

Sorry, no hot dog baskets. At HoliWood Nights, we're all about the pizza and fudge.

...oh, and riding coasters in the dark. :)

And the free soda! I know that's an everyday thing but that's one of the things I look forward to the most! ;)

I'm just happy to see someone else besides me who uses the word "soda" instead of "pop."

The amusement park rises bold and stark..kids are huddled on the beach in a mist

I am probably the only person in Southern WV that says "soda" instead of "pop."

I lived in Philadelphia for most of the 90's and I guess it stuck with me, along with my love for bagels and pizza fries. ;)
