When the event started, right before dinner, the line for Voyage front was probably 45 minutes. Every where else was probably around 20. After dinner, Voyage front was probably 15 and everywhere else was 1 or 2 train wait. Raven and Legend were walk on, even with 1 train on Raven.
I could only do about 4 or 5 laps on Voyage before I had to call it. I don't think lack of rides will be an issue at all.
Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."
"There hasn't been enough people their either time that I've went for the ERT to feel like a regular day with long waits. It's worth it. Besides, you get 2 nites of ERT, I think 5 hours total, in the dark. And if you've never ridden Voyage, you may be like many of us that have to ride, take a break, ride, take a break, so you won't mind the getting off, taking a break, and getting back on."
I agree. I remember the first dark ride on Voyage. WOW! it will blow you away like no other coaster. Voyage is an intense fun ride not abusing. But when you are done you may find you have to catch your breath. Now wonder how the experience will change with Timberliners. But it is definitely a blast and worth going to Holiwood Nights. You will get more than enough ride time. So enjoy the park the rest of the day and use exclusive ride time for the coasters.
^Speaking of Timberliners, have the GG guys talked about how they ride - in detail. Something other than 'good', etc. ?
I'm really curious to get their honest review.
The ride was alot for me to handle, it's motivating me to get in better shape - have less to slush around would make a better ride for me I think!
Also, for darque's information: Saturday morning includes ERT on Wildebeest, featuring the shortest lines it will have all day. I think last year I waited 20-30 minutes during ERT, but the line was 2 hours once the general public was let in. Actually, last year a lot of us got up for the early ERT, did a bit of waterparking, then went back to our cabins to take a nap during the heat of the day when the park was the most crowded. That seemed to work out well.
^Any time an event features both morning AND nighttime ERT sessions, nap time is a great idea! :)

Thanks again for the information. I've only been on a couple CCI's and one Gravity Group but it's enough to know they make killer coasters. I've wanted to go to Holiday World for a couple years and this event seemed like the perfect excuse to make the travel.
Plane tickets purchased and Car/Motel is all reserved. ...oh, and the 2 full day option. I guess I'll be seeing a couple of you there. I'll be the loaner w/ a Canada's Wonderland shirt on ;)
Can't wait! Haven't been to HW since SRM '03, and looking forward to getting my very first Voyage ride during Fri ERT. :)
They Live. We Sleep.
Oh of course. You decide to show up the year I've decided to go to CMania. I see how you are.

Don't be afraid to introduce yourself. Yes there are lots of cliques at coaster enthusiasts events, but many of us are always happy to meet new people.

You're not an RRCer, are you? ;)
Seriously, though, the only reason to be a "loner" is if you prefer it that way...regardless of the preconception that enthusiasts are socially inept, I've found that to be QUITE rare myself. Introduce yourself and you'll find people that you fit in with...shoot, I even know people who love college football (almost) as much as I do!

Long time RRCer who hardly ever reads it anymore.
Gator knows EVERYBODY. Meet him and he'll introduce you to anyone you want to know. Just don't expect him to remember meeting you. Right Carrie? ;)
