I think I want to pop my HW cherry at an event. I wouldn't want to ride any of the three during the day without being able to ride 'em at night. Especially after my very disappointing trip to Visionland (where I could only ride Rampage during the day).

"Solid" airtime is the Texas way, but apparently so is being on fire.

Interesting that you say that, Matt, because my first trip in 2000 was tremendously uninspiring. I remember leaving saying.... so?

My return trip in '03 at SRM was the stuff that dreams are made of, and propelled Legend to instant #1 status, probably due to the night rides.

Sadly, the CBuzz event curtailed my #1 bestowing, but they are still pimpass rides, and I can't wait until May. :)

My first visit was SRM '98. Early on in the day, Raven was not too exciting, but come nightfall, COWABUNGA! :)

My first SRM was 2000. I saw god that night.

It is a shame that marriage didn't last. But since I am friends with both the "groom" and the "wife", I hope the next one is better next time.

Well, I just threw my hat in for this event. After my wife and I had such a blast at the CB Fall Affair (that being our first trip to HW) we definately didn't want to miss out on this incredible event.

Just booked our hotel last night too at Santa's Lodge. You have to call to reserve there, because as others have said, they do not have their rates established yet. Kind of makes me a little nervous pre-reserving hotel rooms with an undisclosed rate, but we liked our stay with them last time (despite the fire alarm burned popcorn incident) and didn't want to miss out on this event.

I am booked for my flight, room and rental car so count me as in on this event. What a way to spend your first two days at Holiday World and Splashin' Safari :)

We'll try to be gentle with you newbies. :)

Btw, and I hope this doesn't sound pathetic, but did anyone happen upon the photo in Tuesday's HoliBlog post?

We (or at least I was) rendered speechless (much to the delight of most of the people here) after seeing that photo. ;)

I second the speechless. My mouth dropped open and that was that, well till I had to answer the ringing phone so I wouldn't lose my job. :)
