We try to address all the HoliWood Nights questions that have come up over the years on this page, which includes a HoliWood Nights for Dummies section. :)

Does anyone know if there's a provision for just the Friday portion of the event? We have to be back home (Fort Worth, TX) by midday Sat. but will be in the area on Fri. and would love to catch up with folks and nab some night rides on the Voyage. However, between the 4 of us I'm not sure it's cost effective to pay for the whole event to just attend Friday night ERT.

Oh! Oh! I know! I know! :)

We can swap your all-day Saturday ticket for an all-day Friday ticket, so you still get all-day on Friday, the all-you-can-eat pizza meal, and Friday night ERT for the "A" pre-registration price as outlined on the flyer. Please include a note with your pre-registration materials so we know that's what you need.

Thanks, Paula

Sweet! Awesome Paula! Now to convince my wife and in-laws that this is feasible and worth it! =)

Not to be a downer after the 2003 sadness, but the Friday night of that particular year was so stellar, that one night was indeed enough.

I hope to see you there, Andy. It's been too long!

Just a reminder, if your going to Holiwood Nights at Holiday World, today is the last day you can register online. After today, you have to register at the park and at a higher rate.

Looking forward to seeing you, Andy. It's been almost five years since our emergency run to Astroworld!

It looks as if my schedule is going to allow me to attend, so I will be looking forward to meeting many of you. I hope the weather cooperates.

Fever I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.

What exactly do you mean by "cooperates"? :)

(last year the weather "cooperated" in a very interesting way...)

"Cooperates" as in "no storms". Seems like that part of the country has been getting plenty rain as of late....

See, that's the thing...

On the one hand, we'd all love to have beautiful weather, although reasonable humidity is probably too much to hope for.

On the other hand, last year, two events (HoliWood Nights and Fall Affair) both featured extreme downpours which had the effect of kicking the Voyage from "overdrive" into "omygodwhatthehelljusthappenedhere?!" and made for some rides that were beyond anything that anybody had ever imagined. And of course, perhaps the most memorable* Stark Raven Mad event was the one in 1998, when the ERT session was interrupted to allow a tornado to pass through Spencer County and flooding rains to pound away at the park.

Of course, if we're lucky, the Voyage won't need a downpour to deliver rain-drenched performance with the new trains...!

*Memorable for the *right* reasons, anyway...

Storms are a bonus at HW, You think the coasters scream at night? Just add water!

Stormy Raven Mad anyone?

Its a blast!

Stormy Raven Mad 98 is still raved about. 2001s had storms for a hour before the event,, They ran insane.

Most don't realize a storm in the midwest is usually a half hour of lightning, hail, whatever followed by either only sprinkles or clear skys a series of storms taking out most of the event would be rare.

Its a blast!
