^LOL, just realized my comment may have been taken "out of (HW) context". It was more of a general statement about *how many trains*, and just happened to get posted to a HW thread. Sorry, Paula, the conversation meandered... :)
You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)
Bringing it back to the event itself, I think this year's dates are awesome. In the past it has always conflicted with the INDY-500, but not this year. My friend invited me to go with him, and I am hoping to!
I think Coastermania will be a very lonely event this year! :)

As has been mentioned before, CoasterMania will probably be pushed back to coincide with the Convention in Pittsburgh. Convention starts on Fathers Day, June 20th. So if CP does it as a 2 day event again, it will probably be the 18th & 19th.
<edit> Looking back at this thread, I guess it wasn't mentioned here. Though it was mentioned somewhere.

One can only hope Jason. Unfortuantly Tony told me that it would be the same weekend as it has always been.
Before you can be older and wiser you first have to be young and stupid.
My hat goes off to the person who wrote the official HoliWood Page!
That is one of the funniest events pages I have read in a long time!!!

Thanks very much, RCG. :)

Hmm...going to be in Cincy for memorial day. I wonder if I could make it back to Texas by Sunday morning after HWN (and if I could convince my wife and son...)
Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."
Definitely looking forward to it this year. We've done the last three years at your park and we keep coming back for more. Love the food and the prices and LOVE the coasters. The best thing, though, I think I actually burn more calories in one day walking back to the Raven from The Voyage than I eat all day. When I saw that you were getting Timberliners I just about hyperventilated. I'm such a coaster dork now. :)
Can't wait to get back. I assume you have this scheduled the weekend of some crazy thunderstorm that ends right before ERT again? Those were the best coaster rides in the history of the world last time.
Fall Affair is 9/18. We'd like to think that the weather will be perfect that day. :)

Note to self: One more remarkable quirk about coaster enthusiasts...they pray for electrical storms before visiting our park.
We got our first two HoliWood Nights pre-registrations in today's mail. :)

^Before last year, I had always hoped for a "misting of sorts" to wet the tracks on the wooden coasters (the effect on steel is MUCH less noticeable). Last HWN, however, was a revelation in terms of enhanced riding experience....from that point forward, thunderstorms are the preferred method of track-wetting. ;)
Maybe instead of electrical storms and walk-backs, we can each get our own grease bucket, brush, and section of track before ERT? Of course rollergater will be good with just a section of track. It sounds like he does not need the grease.
Of course I'm kidding, but those were awesome rides last year. Once again I won't be able to get my guests to commit till the last minute so I will have a hand written name tag yet again. :(
