Why do they say stuff like "BIG" when they know it will be a water slide or water ride? If they say they are getting a new attraction, and then announce a water ride, everyone is happy. If they say it will be BIG, and then it is a water ride, everyone is let down because they think of BIG as a huge new coaser,
Ummm...well, we say it's big, because it IS big!
Consider the following:
1. It is the largest expansion project ever for Splashin' Safari.
2. It will be the Biggest/Tallest "thing" in Splashin' Safari.
3. It will be the largest...(find out *what* on Oct. 4)...in the world.
4. It's taller than The Raven.
If you were doing marketing, sales or PR for our park, wouldn't you use the word "big"?
Please keep in mind that our website is designed with the General Public in mind. The majority of our Guests will be thrilled with this new project.
I realize there are some hard-core enthusiasts who will be disappointed with anything short of a huge coaster, but we have to build our expansion around what's right for the park--and we very much need more capacity in our water park.
Look on the bright side -- the more people we can accommodate in Splashin' Safari, the shorter the lines at The Raven and The Legend. :0)
Thanks,
Paula Werne

17 Parks In the 2001 Season!
I'm actually looking forward to Holiday World's announcement even if it ISN'T a coaster. They're doing what's right for the park, and that's always good news.
(And that includes NOT selling out to Six Flags. Why would Six Flags even be interested, with Kentucky Kingdom so close? Ok, because Holiday World is a better park, but besides that ;) )

Of course SF didn't buy Holiday World, and neither will anyone else.

Has Six Flags realy purchased Holiday World?
-----------------No, no...a thousand times, No! Someone posted this as a joke.
Our beloved patriarch, Bill Koch, passed away 9/17, so I realize some may wonder about our future. Mr. Koch was very forward thinking and had completely turned the parks over to his five children several years ago. Will has been running the place for years and isn't going anywhere.
We have three flags at our entrance--the American flag, a Holiday World flag and a Splashin' Safari flag. There are absolutely no plans to add any more!
Thanks for the opportunity to clear this up!
