Holiday World Fall Affair 2015

The next two weeks after Labor Day are buy-outs, then school is in session. So yes, they can go more weeks, we just can't have our event then. :)

As it turns out, that 8/29 date is after school has returned, so historically it's not a busy weekend. I'm feeling pretty good about that one.

SS is always a good idea. I'm definitely interested.

Next time you use the word "public" in that fashion, hopefully I'll be smart enough to read properly.. :-P

OK... I think we're ready to call it then. The official date will be Saturday, 8/29/15. Save the date!

Saturday, September 19 will no longer be a buy-out. Is that a better day?

I would probably stick with the 8/29/15 as we will want to try and attend the CP Halloweekends Preview or BooBuzz in late September.

It likely won't conflict. Looking ahead, the CP Halloweekend opening will likely be on Friday the 11th (that is, if they continue to host it).

I'm good with either date, but would probably prefer the former to avoid having back to back weekends with long drives.

Yeah, I think we'll stick with the original date.

Hey y'all... just a quick update. We're still on for Saturday, August 29, 2015. This year you'll be able to buy tickets from the park directly, instead of through me having to deal with credit card fees and exchanging tickets and all of that stuff. I'm really excited about it. Thunderbird is fantastic. Stay tuned for more details...

Thuderbird was awesome this past weekend... this will be a good way to encourage a return trip for us this year. Thanks for setting it up.

Been looking forward to this as an excuse to get down to HW. Havent been in probably 4 or 5 years. Can't wait!

We are now less than 2 months until Holiday World Fall Affair. Are there any more details on the schedule, etc. for the event?

Paula said we should have the specifics any moment now. The good thing is that we're buying tickets directly from the park this time, so there won't be any middle man (i.e., me) to get in the way. ERT will be in the morning and after the park closes, and I believe we will be hitting all four adult coasters!

I was there 2 weeks ago. Thunderbird was great! Like it alot better then Gatekeeper. Legend was running fast and furious. Does anyone know why the break on Voyage was bringing the train to a dead stop before the triple down?

Pagoda Gift Shop's avatar

Uh, because Voyage can't afford another speeding ticket from the Roller Coaster Police?

Holiday World takes good care of their rides. I'm sure they are actively involved with the Voyage mid-course settings to keep it running the best it can be.

Roller Coaster Police? Are they the same people that made the monorail at SFWoA/GL slow down as it passed the wave pool? Funny how it would always slow down right at the county line!

I always thought it slowed down because it was kind of a sharp curve.

After finally making it to Holiday World... I so need Aug 29 off for Fall Affair...

Here's the itinerary and pricing... ticket purchasing link is coming!
