Assume, assume, assume, assume. That's what your all doing. You all are assuming I wrote a childish email to DP after one person assumed it. Where are all the chiefs? I see too many Indians right now. My letters were actually formally addressed for those assuming otherwise. Is there something wrong with being passionate about something? Passionate I am. As far as it ruining me,,,,,no. It's all your perception.
Slfake, to cure your curiosity. I am a junior designer at Ewing Cole, finishing up my last year at Drexel. Also, if your basing my intelligence on what you see of me on an internet messageboard I feel sorry for you. As stated previously you do not know me, until then...........keep assuming!;)

"Where are all the chiefs? I see too many Indians right now." what the heck is this supposed to mean? did you read this in a book?
the parts of the letter you posted sounded like a 12 year old wrote it so i didnt assume anything. the only thing i assumed was that you were 12 years old by the way you carry yourself on this forum. yes it is stupid to bash someone's intelligence based on what we see on a messagebaord, but if thats all we see what else do we have to base our opinions on?

and you said in your post above, "In my first email I said...." and it goes on to state the things i based my opinions on.
dorney, also. i think you are missing their point over and over again. you said above.
DorneyDante said:My point was totally missed. What I meant was that Hercules held a significant place in Dorney's history and development and now they were destroying that noble monument rather than trying to find a resolution to the problem.
in the news story it states how much money dorney has to put into the ride, and how the work isnt worth what they got out of the ride.
i do agree with you that they should have announced the closing before shuting down the ride to let those who enjoyed it get a final ride.

Also, do you think the new B&M Floorless will use the terrain to get a high drop? I made a Floorless in my DP rct recreation which does that and has loops and things in it. It is a huge hit with my guests.

I wouldn't get my hopes up about any height or drop records.

Dorney Park Visits in 2003: 17
Assume, assume, assume, assume. That's what your all doing. You all are assuming I wrote a childish email to DP after one person assumed it.
Then DorneyDante wrote (again seemingly to point out how foolish it is to assume):
As stated previously you do not know me, until then...........keep assuming!
But then DorneyDante writes...
I would assume that dorney won't use the terrain to attain any sort of height...
Now how can you say that? You don't know exactly what the brain trust at Dorney is doing or thinking...
But enough about the assuming...
DorneyDante also wrote....
What I meant was that Hercules held a significant place in Dorney's history and development and now they were destroying that noble monument rather than trying to find a resolution to the problem.
In 1945 nearby Hersheypark tore down its Wildcat coaster and replaced it with the Comet. Wildcat held a significant place in Hersheypark's history... its very first roller coaster. However, there was a problem. The story goes that during WWII wood was in short supply on the home front (most going to the war effort). When the war ended and Hershey looked at the shape that Wildcat was in after the years of unintended but necessary neglect because of the situation, it was deemed that the best solution would be to tear it down Wildcat and build a new coaster.
They found the problem (cost to repair the existing coaster) and they found the solution (tear it down and replace it).
Move to the present. Like Hersheypark in 1945 with Wildcat, Dorney Park in 2003 with Hercules found their problem (on going high cost to maintain) and their solution (tear it down and replace it).
Its really as simple as that.

Need to know anymore?
Funny how book smarts and real world applications can be so different.

That said, I enjoyed Hercules very much in the first three years of its existence. If I mourn its destruction, what I truly am mourning is the loss of the coaster as it was then - and that coaster has been gone for a long time.

You need act totally and completely irrelevant, ask incoherent questions (IE pancakes), ask repeatedly when ert on M:TR is, or host a website that costs tremendous amounts of money only to be ridiculed at every oppurtunity about how you run said site.
Do any of those and then maybe we can see where you are at on that list.

DD, I believe that you have ridden Hercules more than a dozen times to have the reaction you are having. Forming an emotional bond with an ininimate object is not a good thing. Writing immature letters to the park is also not a good thing. Remember all the enjoyable times you had riding Hercules, and just let it go.
