Think dual shuttle, Lover.
You mean they are bringing back Lightnin' Loops? I know one piece is rotting away at SFA. Where's the other part? Indiana?
lata, jeremy (who's tounge never seems to leave his cheek these days...)
A funny thing you should mention Python because when I was there last weekend I didn't see any track for it sitting in the usual spot....granted I might not have been looking in the right location or it's now buried under the weeds back there but I certainly didn't see it sitting in it's usual spot.
Now there has been a trailer sitting in that spot in recent months however, the type that would probably have an open top for loading which means the track might be on it's way towards finding a new home somewhere soon.
Kyle Says: Diamondback was a lot of fun! Made his first time at Kings Island worth it all!
I thought CP "jumped the gun" (or was it a shark?) when they went ahead and ordered TTD despite the OBVIOUS (?) flaws with the first installation at KBF...but who knows, maybe Intamin would've learned their lesson and corrected the problems that led to the disproportionate downtime of Xcelerator.
Apparently, that didn't happen to the extent that CP would've liked...and TTD had some *downtime issues*...
Then Hershey decided that a Rocketcoaster would significantly improve their offerings, despite the fact that the reliability STILL seemed to be problematic...
Intamin hasn't proven (to my satisfaction, anyway) that they're "quick learners" when it comes to engineering solutions for known problems (also shown with the rider restraint issue)....perhaps GAdv will prove the old adage that "the FOURTH time is a charm"...;)

No but Premier did just finish two huge (Mummy) rides which could be at least a small part of the reason for that.

Stop thinking like your 13 or 14.....oops.....

Rumor has it that by the time CP and CF in general realized the problems of Xcelerator it was already too late to back out of TTD. Remember, the ride opened only a few months before footers were poured at CP. Footers were poured begining in April, 2002.

The Lagoon is a major North American Amusement Park? If so, what does that make Cedar Point?
How do you define "major North American amusement park"? Lagoon is a smaller park, yes, but it's still one of the fifty most-attended North American amusement parks. Both Cedar Fair and Six Flags own parks that have fewer attendance than Lagoon.

however, if ive offended any Swiss people on here, im sorry ;)
still trying to think of a good signature...

If you were a ride manufacturing company would you build the description of your products up or no? I don't think I would have said, "We're installing this coaster at small, attendance lacking park in the mountains".......Stop thinking like your 13 or 14.....oops.....
As opposed to thinking like an 18 year old, that differs how much?
Actually, most companies would market this as a family ride going to a family park if it were going to a smaller park. I'm not saying it isn't going to Lagoon, but just because that pic shows it near what is probably Lagoon, dosen't mean absolutely that it is going there.
No one has said yet, so its not such a good idea either way to say it is or isn't going until the announcement.

Well, y'know, it makes complete sense if you really sit down and think about the business end of things. Hershey was being beaten completely senseless in their market because they lacked one big, spectacular ride that didn't work worth a damn.
Do you think they really wanted Great Adventure to have a lock on the demographic that draws in? What's better business sense than to promise services without ever bothering to deliver?
It's all about revenue. Way to go Hershey for thinking about the future :)

You can take it to the bank now, this is no TTD. We like substance on the East Coast, no half baked ride will be accepted.
Just when I thought this thread couldn't get any more hilarious....lol
So what happens when you get a "half baked" ride on the east coast? Protest? Picket lines? Have you even ridden TTD? Just curious, dude, seriously, inquiring minds want to know. I'm sure SFGAdv is highly interested in what you will and won't accept, too.

I'm not Swiss. No offense here. What I was getting at was that B&M are also Swiss. It was a joke. :-)
