"Gray-Outs" on Coasters

I also Greyd out on the Second loop and the Devils Curve which are right after eachother on ShockWave at SfGam, Batman Also dose it to me aswell but I know thats just the G's. On Shockwave I am confused because it only happend on really hot days.

Hmm The third loops on Shockwave definitely dd it for me. And i have goten off of Millie a couple of times not remebering the ride in between the Drop and the tunnel.

Raptor's helix has done it and the Pzel on S:UF came pretty darn close.

Ode to the offseason:
Offseason Offseason what shall I do? Who cares the sun is still shining the sky is still blue! GET A LIFE!

Add me to the list for Goliath. That helix is intense and my vision was definately in a gray tunnel.

Titan did it for me. I was nervous about Titan anyway being afraid of heights but when I hit the helix all I could see was the person in front of me. Everything else was completely blurry. It freaked me out so much that I don't remember anything after the mid-course brakes until we got back to the station. I remember the first half of Titan was cool but I don't know about the rest of it.

I don't know if this is considered "greying-out" or not, but the 4th hill of S:ROS (SFNE) makes me lose my vision for a split second. The train flies so fast over the bunny hill that i usually can see the hill coming, and then can't see until i'm going up the less intense 5th hill. The only instance i can think of that involves greying out due to negative g's! =)

Maybe this is just due to speed - the wind won't let me open my eyes. I've tried to keep them open and think i have, but still can't clearly remember going down that hill.

Needless to say - it's my favorite part of the ride! =)

I've "grayed out" on occasions at the now defunct Viper at SFoG. It always happens coming out of the loop on the forward trip, and a few times on the back trip. These occurences were few and far between. I will enjoy, however, graying out on it again next year at SFKK.

Oh yeah, Why hasn't anyone mentioned the pretzle loop? I almost blacked out at the bottom.INSANE G'S!!!

Hmm... I seem to be somewhat odd, here. I've greyed out on Shock Wave, yes, but at the bottom of the first loop, not in the second and third loop series. Two other coasters I seem to share with others are Raptor and Batman: The Ride, but only in the in-line twists. And, actually, that's always been more of a bit of tunnel vision then really greying out. But I seem to have three coasters no one else mentioned: the original Steel Phantom, on the loop, for one. That was possibly the most insane, intense loop I've ever experienced. As for the other two, perhaps I have a weakness for stand-ups: I've greyed out on Mantis and Iron Wolf. On Mantis, it waas rainy day, and the first-drop trim wasn't terribly effective. The G's were noticeably higher, causeing an intense grey-out in the dive loop. On Iron wolf, I was extermely hungry, so that migth have had something to do with it. Still, I don't quite understand why I almost blacked out entirely while cresting the hill that goes through the loop (and, no, I didn't black or grey out in the loop itself!).
The only two rides that have ever made me grey out was Goliath and X. If I do enough laps on Goliath in the back of the train, eventually, I'll experience a grey out or at the very least, tunnel vision. On X, each time that I've been on it (all 3 times), I've either had a grey out or tunnel vision on the first Raven Turn. Does it bother me though? Not in the slightest. Though throughout this season, strangely enough, I used that as a factor in re-rides...

see you next season!

TIP: Always have a good breakfast ! It gives you energy !
During the days I encounter 'grey-outs', I didn't eat much during the morning.

I agree. The only time that I ever greyed out was on Le Vampire. (BTR clone) I then realized that the only food that I had eaten all day was a slice of toast and that was 12 hours earlier.

It happened to me on the launch Hypersonic. Even with the lights counting down the launch, you can't really prepare your mind for what is coming. I ended up seeing stars all the way into the brake run. What a rush!

My first experience was on SROS at SFDL. I thought for a minute it was my age catching up with me until I heard a few teenagers sitting in front of me saying that they experienced the same thing.
For me, it happen on Two Face: The Flip Side at SFA. I though I went blind...lol.
Anaconda almost every time, and Two Face sometimes in the seat facing the operator. The return trip just crushes.

The invertigoes really DO have some good g-forces, but they really are of very short duration.....A good tight helix (high-banking, please) will last a lot longer, but isn't usually as much force. That's why Markey's arbitrary number is SO ridiculous...it's the DURATION more than the *burst* of g-forces that even "might" be dangerous....IF anyone cared to make a ride that noone would WANT to ride.....

GP 1 says "I don't wanna go on Coaster 1 anymore, it makes me throw up."....;)

Congratulations to two Gator greats, Emmitt Smith and David Eckstein - job WELL done guys!
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle - unless you've got a spare planet!

I always black out on Nitro's helix and on Two Face's boomerang.

This has happend to me on three occasions. I greyed out on Millennium Force the first time I rode it. CP's Corkscrew in the loop once. Finaly the loop on Steel Phatom at Kennywood, it was raining and the trims wern't hitting that much, it was insane. I haven't had it happen since, I think that I've built up a tolerance over the years.

I grayed-out on Mantis before they added the trims. I remember after riding it the first time how intense I thought it was. Now with the trim on the first hill, I haven't experienced a gray-out.

The one coaster that gets me nearly EVERY time is Lazer at DP. Damn little bugger. It's the double vertical loop that does me in without fail. I haven't figured out a trick yet to keep this from happening.

I have never greyed out *knock-on-wood*.
