Gotham City loses ride @ SFA

Since they don't call the this ride the Penquin's Bobsleds any longer, they should just call it Mr. Freeze's Bobsleds. That way it still fit's in with the Batman theme but wouldn't require a change in the ride theme itself. Just my two cents.
I never meant to imply that the one-training was a Six Flags thing, I was merely trying to ascertain the reasons for the blue train's being stuck on the transfer track.

Well it's good to hear that the ride isn't being taken out but is just being repaired.

Does anyone have any clues as to what we can expect to see at the park in 04? I've heard we might be getting something new but what it is I'm not saying just yet.

So the Bobs are staying, but, I heard another spinning ride might be on the way out due to major mechanical problems. This time, I won't name names to protect the innocent, namely me:)

Pure speculation and fun: As for 2004 additions, Great America seems to have an Arrow megalooper that would fit on the property. Since it's blue, they could call it "Mr. Freeze". Of course, it has a nearly identical twin in New Jersey, but, that wouldn't stop them from adding it.

If I had to guess which ride you are talking about, I would say Iron Eagle. I've noticed this ride has been down alot this season. Speaking of rides down this season, I don't think I have seen Typhoon Seacoaster running this year during my visits, but I have heard some say that it has been running, every now and then. Anyone know the scoop on this ride?

TSC usually doesn't run till noon, and then sometimes it tests later than that, it was open last Friday afternoon, and also open Sunday.

never met a coaster I didn't ride (except Junior Geminii) :(

Iron Eagle seems to have some mechanical problems. It also for some reason has a minimum number of passengers of 17. This means that it doesn't operate on days when business is light. Of course this sort of requirement makes it hard to get things going since it's hard to get 17 people lined up for a ride that isn't operating unless its a coaster. I've seen it sit for hours because it couldn't get a line formed.

Does Sam or anyone else out there know why the minimum number for this ride.

I believe it's for weight distribution, ever notice how they always load the middle row first?
Seacoaster has run for three days straight! (I have off today, Monday, so I don't know if it ran). So come on down to Largo, if you've wanted to ride this unique ride. I'm now also a certified attendant on Joker's Jinx, so you might see me there also if the Speedway closes down due to inclement weather, which is how I wound up there last week. I never thought I'd be checking another Coasterbuzz members lapbar, namely Mr. Marks.

That's great I-Fan,perhaps I'll see ya over at JJ on the 16th if you happen to be stationed there that day.

I usually hit JJ on my way out of GC after getting my required 2 laps on S:ROS & Batwing to begin my day of riding at the park.

Intamin Fan - please describe yourself so I don't ask ever attendant in the park if they are Intamin Fan? I get really strange looks when that happens. I even had security stalking me... Oh wait a minute, that's because I was taking pictures in the wave pool of things I shouldn't be taking pictures of. (just kidding...).

BTW, I rode JJ yesterday. I liked how the attendant said Bye, Bye Batman and sent us on our way from 0 to 59.5 miles per hour. Only suggestion would be to animate it like they do in the show.

I met up with I-Fan by chance last fall while in line for S:ROS,but it's been a while since then & I may have forgotten what he looks like by now.

Some interesting developments are occuring over by S:ROS,three men in orange jumpsuits were spotted doing something or another in the clearing between S:ROS & Batwing,,perhaps they are doing an enviornmental impact survey of the area for a possible new ride.

This could be true because the same type of study was conducted on Batwing's site just prior to the ride being approved by PG county for construction,so we should kep an eye on this area of the park & see what happens.

Yeah, Itr would be nice to get in some real time with a
coasterbuzzer. I am planning to be at the park on the
21st and may take a trip out there in the 7th if the
weather is livable. If anybody wants to say hi let me know. I'll probably start another thread shortly before
the 21st.

To not totally give away my identity, I'm male and usually wear black sunglasses, unless of course it's raining like the awful storm we had tonight. Luckily I got of work just in time.

Dude, your identity is already broken. Let's see if we could write it skit to this effect:

GM to Intamin Fan's Boss (IF's Boss): Who is the newly trained ride op on Joker's Jinx, male and usually wears sunglasses.

IF's Boss to GM: Why it's Intamin FAn

GM to IF's Boss: Well he is posting rumor's on Coasterbuzz.

IF's Boss to GM: I will handle that mam, don't worry about a thing....

Intamin Fan, I will let you feel us in on the outcome. ;)

a) I wouldn't probably wouldn't wear sunglasses being an attendant on a ride with a roof b) I've only been on Jinx once, probably won't happen often c) I highly doubt the GM would know who's been trained on what
