Good Coaster Names

Putting the quality of the ride aside, what are some of the best and most memorable coaster names? Also if you have an original name that you find appealing, please post it.

Goliath,        the name is simply intimidating
I've always liked Steel Phantom. I thought it was great because it symbolizes the desolate steel mills that now rest around Kennywood. Of course, that's the not the reason it was chosen because the employees that think up names for new rides are much too young to remember the steel mill days of Pittsburgh.

Rock "n" Roller Coaster, The name sounds good and it lets you know what the theme of the ride is.

"Roller Coaster favorite ride , let me kiss you one last time" Blink 182
"Shivering Timbers".  A stroke of genius.

So many coasters - so little time.
I have always treasured the history of my territory. I am sure that these children of Pennsylvania know of the steel mills. Who dosn't? I know of the great past of Indiana Beach after all, which can be found at:

I think that a good name for a New Orliens coaster would be "The Drunken Whore". Dosn't that sound like a good coaster name?

"Before you Criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you are a mile away and you have their shoes.
I don't know where you heard that one mustang(your signature), but it is the funniest I have seen. Anyway, Apollo's Chariot really grabs my attention so far.
Well Mantis and Raptor always got my attention, and even Talon.  Those names are great.  I also though The Ranger would be a great name for a CCI Woodie (Villain or Ghostrider-style)...
Definitely a great signature - names I find fitting/appealing:  Great American Revolution (vertical loop, 1976)  Timber Terror, Shivering Timbers, Cyclone (it's a twister), Raptor (fit's it's style), Raven (FLIES through the trees), Titan and Goliath, MF (built for 2000), Magnum XL-200, TS at SFKK, XLR8, Steel Phantom, The Racer (they do), UltraTwister, Oblivion, Dueling Dragons.  I like most of the names of weather related phenomena (Rolling Thunder, LR's Thunder and Lightning, Tornado, Cy-clones).  I can't believe that it's too expensive for parks to be creative and theme appropriately.  But, in my park a coaster named Hurricane WOULD have a shed with fog and misters, maybe even strobes.  On the other end of the scale, why is the Carolina Cyclone at Carowinds a STEEL coaster instead of a wooden twister?  What was SF thinking with the Medusa Mining Company - (and who are the ad wizards that came up with that one? - SNL).  We're in Frontierland, and come across MEDUSA?  You've GOT to be kidding me, get with it (or better yet, hire me to theme for you)!  Still hoping to win the Hershey's "name that coaster" contest...

Turn of the Century
I'd like to see some botanical names for rides.  There are a lot of possibilities.  Blazing Star for instance.  A beautiful plant that opens up very interesting landscaping possibilities.

everything's better with a banjo
AC, and the Raven.

Ricochet: Bouncing to you in 2002, Only at King's Dominion!
Ravine Flyer

Yet another coaster-craving yuppie
not coasters but supreme screem and perilous plunge are great names.
Does anyone know why Turn of the Century was named Turn of the Century and why the name was ultimatly changed?
