Cedar Fair bought the entire operating park for $145 million and couldn't make it work. The five phases of the GoFundMe wants to raise $350 million.

Math is hard.

True. But, to be fair, his plan was developed in crayon on the playground during recess.

This guy is particularly bad at it too. The GoFundMe is for Phase 1 only (because sponsors are going to pay for the rest of the phases) which he specifies is $50 million for land acquisition. However, he's only asking for $20 million in this campaign. He goes on to mention in the phase 1 description that land acquisition could cost as low as $12 million.

I fixed that for you... 😜

But then again, what do I know?

That is correct, you can start withdrawing right away. This was very beneficial to my wife's friend who started a GFM. Her house burned down due to faulty electrical in a pre-existing appliance. Her insurance won't pay anything out because they're saying it's the appliance manufacturer's fault and so everything is in limbo due to pending litigation. She is living out of a hotel and everything is coming out of her own pocket at the moment. She may eventually get her money back, but in the meantime, it's very straining.

Stuff like this is such BS that's exactly what people have insurance for. Insurance should be paying her and then suing the appliance manufacturer if they think the manufacturer can be held liable.
