Gadv New Themed section?

Im sorry i meant to say behind them. Theres is plenty of space behind viper and medusa, but the area near Nitro sounds more suitable but where would they move there Hayride?
There is SOO MUCH room past nitro that gadv owns, the only prob is there's a little piece of the lake that cuts off part of that whole section of trees.  There's room enough to build a coaster the same size as nitro right next to it before that piece of lake, then if they wanted to in the years to come they could place a bridge across that piece of lake (it's not that long, its more like an outskirt creek from the lake) and across there is so much room of nothing but trees that you could build like 5 Millenium Forces.  There is also room on the other side of the park...the most being a piece of land that starts between the log flume and nothern star arena, and stretches backwards behind the arena and then all the way up to where medusa is.  The problem with that is it may be a little too close to the safari, but that's what people said about medusa.  There is room behind medusa and viper, but that space is cut off by another decent sized creek (The one u walk across to get from viper to medusa), and also starts to get a little too close to the safari.  I think the best bet for gadv would be to put a new section behind the arena and log flume that extends up to medusa, adding a new section behind nitro now would be horrible, that side of the park is EXTREMELY crowded while the side with medusa is usually empty.

i just read this at gav source

Recently I sent in some news concerning SFGAdv's 02'-04' seasons. In my news I talked about how Viper will stay defunt for the 02' season. This
turns out not to be true, since I have just talked to some SFGAdv employees. Right now the track on Viper is being constructed on to make it a
smoother ride. Some of the track in the loading station is being replaced, along with some other track, while most of Viper is just being 'touched
up' for a nicer, smoother ride. The same Togo International design will stay despite the contruction. At this time Viper is hoping to strike its way back onto SFGAdv's coaster line up for 2002. secound Scream Machine will get the long awaited paint job, (white supports, blue spine, red rails) theres more go check out the site

I rode RT a few times this year. I didn't think it was as horrible as everyone is making it out to be. Sure there were a few bad spots but I didn't think it was that bad. I think if they greased the track the ride would improve greatly. There was one area where it seemed like the wheels were locked and they vibrated along the track I'm guessing grease would help that. Give RT some fresh paint, grease, minor track work and actually race the trains all the time and we'd all have a great woodie at Great Adventure.

Hello, My name is Dan and I'm a coasterholic.
A new theme section would fit back behind Northern Star Arena and Medusa.  There is enough land there that is far enough away from the safari.  There has been a rumor about a new section going in there for over a year.  But the new rumor backs that up saying that's where the new woodie would go.  A boat could then transport guests from the Lakeside section near Skull Mountain to the new themed section, creating a faster way to get to the other side of the park as well as another attraction.  While we won't know if this is true, it always sounds nice.  However, if this were to happen let's all pray that Great Adventure doesn't follow in the footsteps of their previous themed lands.  Perhaps they should just try totally re-theming everything in the park.

Back to Viper could this really be true and how could togo make this ride smooth i mean they are togo?

Maybe SFGadv should follow in Kennywoods footsteps and ask another company to fix/reprofile the Viper. Keep the first drop and inversion then redesign the rest.

SFGadv Please I'm begging for a Gyro Drop tower, an ArrowBatic and some much needed TLC for Rolling Thunder.

hi

B&R-The Chiller, You obviously hav'nt ridden Manhattan Express, or their coasters in the far east. Although I hav'nt ridden the far east ones, I'm told that the Bandit (Yomuri land) and Fujiyama (Mt. Fujiyama park or something) are very fun, fast, and smooth. As for M.E., Its a very smooth coaster, except for one spot, the drop into the loop. The rides also vary on roughness from where you sit, aas the front is always like silk and the back is like a 8.5 earthquake. With lots of refabrication, reprofiling, and redesigning, they could make Viper a world class ride. Maybe they can streach it out over the stream at all?/P>/BLOCKQUOTE>

How much more floorless can they get?

MAybe while they are re-theming SfGadv could replace the Lethal Weapon Stunt Show. How many years can we possibly drag this one on and on. A new show in the SBNO Batman arena could work also, it would not necessarily need to be Batman themed. Better yet they could use the arena to house a Dark ride based on the Batman Theme or perhaps an ArrowBATic.

Well, we've moved off topic a bit again, but Viper's biggest problem to me was the restraint system. It's not that comfortable for me, and my ex-girlfriend rode it once and could never ride it again because she had bruises where the bottom of the "fangs" dug into her chest. That's not a good sign when the ride is so short. I rode it three times in a row and my shoulders killed me after that because of the padding.

Something to consider is that unless a whole new area was created and themed behind Medusa and the Arena, the log flume would be out of theme then (it fits best in the old west theme). Still, Movietown is just way too crowded as it is. Feels like 3/4 of the park is there all day.

They should build a riddler themed standup in the spot of the batman arena.

That is an awefully small area unless they went around freefall and back around, any pictures i heard of strange footers found by the lake and that vipers is sealed and has been testing oh well these rumors are what people want to hear but this isnt gonna happen, but does anyone have an update on viper?
