I was going to post about Big Bone Lick, but you beat me to it, Moosh. Sounds like the sort of thing Kentuckyans don't approve of!

I enjoy the sign on Knott's Hammerhead that says "keep hands up until lapbars are lowered." :)
If you don't get it, there are no lapbars on Hammerhead.

Um, one of the funniest that I have seen is at the entrance to Mind Eraser (SFA). The Corn Nuts sponsor has a sign right at the entrance that says, "Hold on to your ears". Obviously, the folks who put up that sign have been on the ride.
Happy Coastering!

These are the only characters I remember Kennywood having prior to Garfield calling the park home: Kenny Kangaroo, Jeeters, and Col. Bimbo Fraudwater. For some reason, I don't remember any characters with the name of an adult toy.

I wish I would have taken one :( I do have a scan of my "Gay Throngs at the Beach" 1920's CP postcard. I have much worse old park postcards...

So on the "taller than" sign you're talking about Peabody, what was the height requirement? 6 or 8 inches?
Yeah, I think I'm taller than that thing. ;)

Wasn't there a sign atop Judge Roy Scream's lift hill that read, "Appeal Denied"?
That's amusing. :)

Not exactly in a park but how many people coming to Great America from Wisconsin have seen the sign for the "Bong Recreational Area" ?-----------------

Highway 142 between Burlington and HWY 75. It used to be an Air Force base in WWII, but was never completed due to budget cuts. The runways are still somewhat there. Interesting that this site was once considered as a potential host for the EAA fly-in before it found Oshkosh as a permanent home (they also considered Burlington airport, but the farmers put up a fuss). It was named the Richard (Insert middle Initial here) Bong Recreation area. Bong was some kind of WWII fighter pilot hero type of guy. I used to know more... (Our high school teachers had to explain to us that the place was not actually named after drug paraphanelia (sp?)). :)
Funny, though.
