1-What was the color of Top Gun when it first opened?
Grey supports, red track
2-What is the actual lauch speed at the end of the tunnel on Flight of Fear(not 54)?
Well, it is billed as 0-60 in 3 seconds, it takes exactly one second for the back seat to reach the "co-dispatch" upon launch. I believe the actual speed depends upon the weight of the train however. Probabaly averages about 58.
Of course the answer to this depends if you are talking about the launch tunnel. If you mean the break-run tunnel, then it stops completely before rolling in. Thus the speed would be zero.
3-At Kings Island and Kings Dominion when building the Flight of Fear which came first the ride or the building?
Each park did it differently. PKI built the building then the coaster inside. PKD built the coaster, then the building around it
Derek:
1. How many lights does the Eiffel Tower have?
Depends totally on the time of year. There are extras added for special occasions such as Fearfest etc. Are you talking flood lights or beacons, spots or accent? If you are just talking about the ones used to illuminate the structure alone for guests on a normal night, then there are 8 under the bottom guest platform. There is one in each corner at the top of the tower, there are 16 at the base of each "leg" of the tower, there are two floodlights on each observation deck, there are way too many to count under the 50 foot platform to illuminate the que below.
2. How many nozzles does the Royal Fountain on International Street have?
There are 106 water jets and 306 lights in the fountain.
3. What year did the Fountains receive its new white royal pedestals?
Pedestals have always been there since the fountains were built, but I believe they were just replaced prior to the 1999 20th anniversary season. If we want to get really technical, the pedestals are not white. The pedistals themselves are dark blue with a white "bowl" on top supported with white "arms." I know, I know... I'm a geek.
