The new Roller Coaster Tycoon pinball machine is being tested. It was designed by Pat Lawlor Design Inc, and will be manufactured by Stern Pinball. It should go into production within the next 6 to 8 weeks. It's based on the widely popular Roller Coaster Tycoon PC video game. Pat Lawlor has designed many popular pinball machines, including Twilight Zone, Addams Family, RoadShow and Funhouse, just to name a few.
Coasterville Dave, the yellow ramp over the flippers is amazing... Providing a great 'Oh ****' moment during multiball when you get the Super Jackpot. (A moment not unlike the fifth drop on a certain coaster in Indiana!)
I'll be going out there tonight (Friday 12th) .. Perhaps I'll see some of you!
It really is a fun game .. Even if it's not dripping with RCT stuff, and techincal coaster geekness. The playfield is probably one of Pat's best, and the rules are a ton of fun. Meet me there tonight, I'll gladly explain the rules and show you all the fun things this game can do.
It's at "Season Tickets": 50 N Barrington Rd. It's on the west side of Barrington Rd, south of Golf (which is south of I90).

ProgRay P. (who has to find one of these "Monopoly" machines....)
Where abouts do you live, because there are quite a few Monopoly Machines in Las Vegas, I was there about a month ago, and found a couple in a few arcades. I actually had no idea it was quite new, so It was a pleasure playing one, anyway the monopoly one is very good, everything is very detailed, and all the monopoly features that feature in the game are there.
I also managed to find an Austin Powers Pinball Machine, for anyone interested, Its in the Aladdin Hotel in the Discovery Store I think. Again, its very good, and has some good features.
The RCT Pinball Machine looks excellent, although I thought it would be a bit more themed around the game, that Troll Feature looks pretty good, and there seems to be a coaster feature in there, so it looks pretty good to me.
I just pray a couple of these get delievered over here to England, so I can get the chance to play on one.
Now that's cool! I LOVE pinball! Ever since my days growing up listening to Tommy. By the way, Funhouse is my favorite.
Given my situation, I'll have to wait for a used model. Hope they make a lot of them.

Cam,
I understand that the game is the equivalent of a beta test, I even stated that the designer was there to see it testing in my first post...
But I still felt that for theming it to RCT, there should have been a little more RCT stuff in it...but that's just my opinion.

Posting, "Me too" like some brain dead AOLer. I ought to to the world a favor, and cap you like old yeller...
And what is with the troll?
ps: Redman, I knew you know about the status of the test game from talking to Pat .. I wanted to make it clear to the others! Sorry..

Now that I've seen it up close, I don't think it's Monopolyesque at all. Granted, you can't tell anything about the rules by looking at it, but it at least looks interesting. Can't wait to see it.
