Final Destination 3 rumor

If anybody is really interested in part 3 of this movie, here's something I saw today while shopping at Target. They have a Final Destination box set for $14.99. Obviouslt the first two movies make up the box set, but it also has a preview disc for part 3, (complete with artwork of the kids getting ready to meet their demise on the coaster), and one FREE movie ticket for part 3. Keep in mind though the ticket is only good from premiere day (2/10) through (3/10).

They also have a featurette with Jack Black's band Tenacious D. Just thought some of you might be interested.

Now officially a Halloween Haunt Cornstalker for Fall '08! www.freewebs.com/chadmicah
Ah, the Final Destination movies... nothing like dying in a Rube Goldberg fashion. I give them points if they involve a mousetrap in the death.

There's a link to see the trailer and it's awesome!

Apple's website has hidef trailers (take a while to load, but much better quality):

^They also show an S&S tower ride (I assume the one at PNE) on the page. Unfortunately, I'm not into the films at all, and just can't stand bad acting. Otherwise, it might look good. ;)

And the rumor is that they spent $3 on the special effects. Sorry, after seeing the preview twice now, it just looks horrible when the train comes off the track. The opening sequence of FD2 was much better done (although I shouldn't judge effects based on a preview I guess, since they might have improved things since). Sorry, I think I'd rather sit through Hostel again, and that movie sucked badly.
Just a heads up to those who want to screen this one for free. Webshots has a promo giving away tickets for a preview screening in a bunch of cities a week from Wednesday.

Even if you think the film is coaster heresy and the premise corny I'm guessing you may not be willing to pass up a freebie pair of passes.

I have to, as I'll be flying that night (oooh, memories of FD the original).

I saw the preview for it the other day..it looks pretty cool. :) Gotta love roller coaster movies.

CP was amazing, going back next June to ride Maverick

Well I don't know how long that freebie ticket site has been up for but. For my New York there already empty of passes, kinda stinks, but oh well.

I saw FD1 less than a week before I took a school trip to France. How messed up is that?!

I was still able to get one for Philly - #1301. It's not a huge theater - anyone's experience with having a pass and not getting in due to turnout?
Erinys, the earlier you get there the better!
I would go if I could bring my two robot friends-Crow T. Robot and Tom Servo. Then this movie might be mildly entertaining ;).
I think the director really needs to take some hints from the smash hit House Of The Dead and cut to an explosion scene from RCT3 when the coaster de-rails...
Saw the movie for free yesterday, pretty ludicrous. The rollercoaster scene is just the opening of the movie, and basically someone drops a camera on the track which causes the restraints to somehow pop open and half the wheels fly off the rolling stock. The track comes unwelded too! It's funny in a very stupid way.
I saw a sneak preview on tv the other night. Hydraulic fluid was leaking from the train to begin with. When the train rolled over the camcorder, it broke the tube! That caused the restraints to pop open. From what I saw, it did look sorta corny. Looking forward to seeing it Friday!
WooHoo comes out tomorrow. About how long is the roller coaster part?

Just got back. Let me tell you, Blood, and gore, lots of it. Prolly one of the goriest (Spelling?) and bloodiest movie I've seen.

(Sorry I don't want to ruin it for people that DO acually plan to see it)

Ok this coaster crash...TOTALLY Unrealistic. First, some person has there usual, Final Destination Vision/Dream. First off, when they enter the Q for the ride, the Spine of the track, is already loose and shaking. Not Real (As almost all of us coaster peeps know on here, a ride goes through expection every day.) Then they get in to the Vekoma-looking trains. The OTSR are auto, and click down (another un-real part). But when they are down, you can see so much space inbetween each rider and you can see that they are very loose. The characters push them up a few *inches* when you see them getting comfortable in the seats. Another un-real part. After that, a Hydraulic tube for the restraints starts to leak under the train (Oh No!!!). Don't they cover stuff like that on the undersides of coasters. Is there even Hydraulic fluid for coaster restraints? lol

The train goes up the lift, yada yada. Comes down, and DAMN how many times does it go through the double corkscrew? Yeah, about three times. How many coasters do you know with 6 Corkscrews in them? Yeah. Moving on. The camel backs/hills/bunny hops (Which ever you prefer) they add on this coaster are Really fake. If they were on a real coaster, the G's would be insane. Ok, on to the crash.

Idiot perve/creepy dude brings his Video Recorder on the coaster. When entering one (of many!) of the Vertical Loops, he drops his camera at the tip top of the loops...slow motion shot...etc etc. the camera strap wraps around one of the rails of the coaster. When the train exits the loop, the strap breaks the leaking tube of hydrolic fluid, releasing all of the OTSR's. First person to die. Hmm can't remember, all I remember is the fly out and slam on one of the supports, blood splatters everywhere, and gets all over faces. People scream, Ex-cet-er-ah ex-cet-e-RAH! (say it with some enthusiasm).

Next, the first three out of the six cars detatch, and Derail. The train enters another Vertical loops (Oh how original, I forgot which inversion this was by now) The now 3 car long train, stops at the very top of the loop (Just think Demon at SFGAm, 1998) people start to fall out one by one, splattering on the rails below. Two people remain hanging from train (The two main characters of course). They get this *swell* idea of trying to rock the car down the loop. They rock, get it to go down, but then a support (Can't remember that well). Stabs through the guys head, he die's (obviously) and then the part in the commercials. The spine of the track seperates and the cars stack up and the last person falls and dies.

Overall, the coaster was *really* (I mean it!) fake, and lasted only about 3 minutes all together. The rest is the usual Crazy Abnormal Accidents in the other Final Destination movies. But this one was beefed up on the blood and gore, oh and don't forget the......Breast's. The part you see in commercials, where the girls are in the tanning bed. You don't just see there head, you see there entire body. :-D. Just a heads up, if you plan on taking kids under...ehh lets say 12, maybe 13. Depends what age and grade they start teaching bout them boobies in school (Oh dear), I would say it is Off-Limits to younger kids. Of course its rated R, but there were TONS of kids with parents in the Theater. I saw a few eye covering parents at that tanning bed part.

Ok a rating you might ask?

2, maybe a 2.5 out of 5. The effects were great, but it was the same as the others, lets all try and find out how NOT to die. The .5 extra for the AWESOME job they did with the gore, it was amazingly sick.

C ya!

I'm not a horror movie fan. The world is violent enough, I don't find seeing people die bloody deaths as a form of entertainment. Was trying to be humorous.
