1.) Montu had crocs or gators in a pit below the turn leading from the station to the lift hill. I believe this was actually true but they were not there when I rode it in October - does anyone know when they were removed and why (probably a FAQ).
2.) A man was launched into the sea on the turn after the first drop on the Cyclone Racer. He was said to have immediately gone back to the rides station, after swiming to shore, where he demanded a refund as he had not got his moneys worth.
3.) A nurse worked in the station of the Crystal Beach Cyclone where she treated the injured and afraid.
4.) TTD will be extended to include a section of air time hills - not going to happen.
5.) One of the very early wooden coasters was built with a gap in the track which it would leap over during its course. This is 99% true, the ride worked quite well except for when the train was to heavy or light as it would obviously jump further or shorter.
I've heard this from kids, teens, and reputable, intelligent adults alike.
I like how BGT dubs Gwazi as the "tallest, fastest double-tracked wooden coaster in the Southeast." There are, what, two other ones, both built in the 1970's?

This one is true. There were actually crocodiles in the pit. They were removed late 2000, early 2001. Rumour has it that some animal activist groups complained about the lack of space.
The Bat at Kings Island flew off the tracks, and that's why the ride was removed.

Since no ones mentioned it how bout the one where some girls hair got stuck at the top of demon drop at cedar point and her face was torn off on the drop.
That girl must be real old and must have travelled well... my grand mother told the story of "the girl who got her hair caught on the roller coaster at Hersheypark"... of course this girl, according to my grandmother, got her entire head torn off. She never said if it was the Comet or original Wildcat. Doesn't really matter since it never happened. I remember hearing thsi from her when I was just a wee lad... back in the early 1970's or so.
Don't know if it's true....

Crocodiles under Montu sounds like it was a bad idea from the start, unless there was some kind of grating over their pit. Those suckers can jump...
There wasn't any grating, but as you can see in the picture, the train was high enough to prevent any problems with jumping gators: http://www.coastergallery.com/2000/BGT35.html

People almost drowned on Double Loop @ SFWoA. (this one is true tho)
CP is going to build a coaster with underwater invertions.

I heard this same story for Power Tower and Drop Zone @ PKI.
