I'll be putting my registration in the mail tomorrow. Hopefully it will get there before the deadline.
This will be my first enthusiast event with Coasterbuzz or otherwise. I've been reading here on and off over the years but haven't really been able to make an event until now.
I'm definitely looking forward to getting back to the Voyage!
bucknut08- I was in your shoes last year. I was nervous about going to a coaster club event. However, I had a blast at the Fall Affair. It was a great group of individuals. Now this year I am doing BooBuzz and the Fall Affair. I really love the Coasterbuzz community events and have totally been looking forward to the next two weekends!!

I have a couple tickets to Holiday World that I got in a deal earlier this year- if I use these, can I just pay the passholder price for the event?
I just decided to join the party - I'll be dropping my registration into the mail on my way home from the office. It should reach you by the 18th, but is that a "Postmark" date or a "In your hands" date?
If I pay by credit card. can I email you the form?

Yes, the passholder rate is for anyone who has passes, tickets or whatever to get in.
It's technically an "in my hands" date.

Anyone else staying in the "Legendary" cabins at Lake Rudolph? (Should I pack my earplugs and eye mask?) :)

By the way, if you are planning to register on-site, I will be able to accepted credit cards there, $40 flat for admission, ERT and dinner. $20 if you have a season pass.

Just heading home from fall adair. The event culminated in the following insanity. It started raining during ert and voyage got more insane. Then the rain turned into a Noah build the ark downpour that any rational individual would have run for cover.
Instead the following happened: the train pulled in, soaked coaster crazies got out then more coaster enthusiasts boarded the train despite the torrential downpour. Then after possibly the most intense voyage ride ever the park offered to let people out of the train but most stayed on the train, only those who had to give up their seats to oncoming riders exited. The train went around again with wind adding to the downpour.
The riders unloaded soaked more than had they ridden most water rides.

Indeed, that was absolutely insane. I just got in myself. That horrible storm was on top of me the entire way home, 3.25 hrs to Cincinnati. Unbelievable amounts of water. But as you said, the Voyage rides in the rain were just epic.
I call Cedar Point my home park even though I live in the Chicago Suburbs.
Just got back to my hotel north of Cincinatti myself, drive from hell. However, the day was amazing, many thanks to all the people at HW and here at Cbuzz that put it together. Jeff had a video camera to document the insanity I hope that means it will be posted here.
Touchdown, 5 Voyage rides in a row (one in drizzle, one in downpour) then a train off and in the front seat for the final ride of the night. What a blast. Only disapointment of the whole day is that I missed Master Turkey Caller by 10 points, darn shame.
Oh, Lord. . .I have been in the thick of some UNBELIEVABLE MOMENTS of ERT over the years. . .but that DELUGE of RAIN MADNESS tonight on The Voyage. . .was truly, as D vo stated a few minutes ago, EPIC. . .
One for the books. GREAT JOB, JEFF!!!! And mucho thanks to everyone at Holiday World. The drive back from HW to Cincinnati ranks as one of the 5 Worst Drives of my lifetime. The storm literally followed us from HW, up the I-71 corridor, and right on through Northern Kentucky. Inches and inches of rain. . .
But, the Coasterbuzz Fall Affair was OUTSTANDING!!!!!!
I shall never forget the PELTING EFFECT that (sans poncho) I experienced on those 3 insanely addicting rides (who could possibly get off when it was such a mixture of hilarity and sadomasochism. . .LOL).
Anyway, hope everybody got home safe and had a great time!!!!!
I was in the front seat for the first ride of the downpour- it felt like getting shot in the face with a bb gun, but it was one of the best rides on anything I've ever had.
The trip back to Columbus was absolutely terrible, and I wasn't even the one driving. It took 5 1/2 hours, heavy rain and lightning the entire way. Didn't get in until 1:30 am.
Got 7 rides in a row without getting off in the morning on Voyage. Ended up with 26 at the end of the day- could have gone for a couple more at the end, but figured there wasn't any better way to end the day than in the front seat during that downpour.
And Carrie wouldn't ride Plunge earlier in the day. Ha!
Video to come...

I can't imagine what it was like in the front seat in terms of rain. I was in the back seat (is there another seat on the Voyage?) and those full-on rain rides were off the charts in the insanity department. Couldn't see a thing, totally drenched, trying to ride defensively from the pelting rain while getting pummeled by the coaster (which was totally flying) was definitely one of the most memorable coaster rides I've ever had. Even crazier was going back and doing it again and ending up on the last ride out before they shut it down.
Funny how both ERT sessions this year on the Voyage (HWN and this event) ended up with rain being a huge contributing factor to the craziness. Wow....

It was "like" ERT the whole day. Great day with light crowds all day. Insane ERT on the Voyage after dinner and was able to grab 7 rides. Absolutely soaked at the end of the night. Little sore today; however, totally crazy fun times. Chalk this up to another awesome CoasterBuzz event!
Brad
Indeed, it was a great event! Thanks to Jeff and the fine folks at Holiday World for putting it together and allowing us to experience some insanity on Voyage. All I have to say about those last two rides on Voyage is...OUCH!!!
Oh, by the way, I really want to know if the two people who rode behind my friend and I on Voyage during ERT singing 'Row Row Row Your Boat' while we did our slightly stupid "paddling" thing, are here on the forums. Quite possibly the funniest thing I've experienced on a ride.

Most accurate description of the ERT! That was the most insanely awesome experience on a coaster I've ever had. It ended up being a blast in a really sick way. There was no way I could keep my eyes open on the last rides of the night from the front seat and that just made it even more ridiculous.
I got the last ride of the night in the front with Touchdown and I so very much appreciate the awesome people who were riding and just making it that much more fun by being silly and crazy! Good times indeed.
And yeah, Jeff, I'm so glad I skipped PP in order to stay dry... who knew? :)
