Fall Affair 2007 at Holiday World: Register today!

There is Buffalo Run 3 miles from Holiday World. They have elk and buffalo burgers. Frosty's is right next to Santa's Lodge. Subway is right across the street. Windell's Cafe is over in Dale. There is also Brick Oven Pizza next to Holiday Foods. There are many more places in Spencer County to eat. http://www.legendaryplaces.org/dining.cfm

While you are at that site check out all the other stuff there is to do besides Holiday World in Spencer County. There is plenty to see and do, you just have to look.

I just sent in my registration today, me and my friend Andy are going to be there. Our first enthusiast event. I've been dreaming of Voyage for the past week LOL
As much too my surprise...I might actually get to go to this...and am really looking forward to it.

Fever I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.
How late is the park open to the GP that day?
Are you still planning for on-site registration? How much extra will it cost to register the day of the event? Thanks!

According to the info on the Podcast there will be limited on-site registration and rounding the cost of the event to the next highest $5 increment should give you a good idea as to the on-site pricing.

I believe $30 for club members and $35 for non-members is a good guess.

I just sent my app in yesterday and I am using this as a measure on wether or not to join as I wanted to last year and ended up doing something else. Where should I stay with my son and daughter so we don't have to drive the 7 hours back after the event. Also, how many people are expected to show up so I know how busy the ERT will be... thanks

Trying to remember this week's Podcast again, I think Jeff put the number in the 60's (minus any registrations coming this week or on-site)

Coasterbuzz ERT always seems to be very "E" :)

Wow that will be some awesome ERT. I was hoping for 2 rides on voyage the whole day but this should be awesome...

2 rides the whole day? Even on busy Saturdays in peak season, you can get ten rides in on Voyage. I think you will be very happy with the crowds. :)

I think we'll probably top out around 80 with the pre-registration, so a group of 100 or less seems like a reasonable expectation to me.

Anyone reccommend a good hotel to stay at and on the ERT do they only run 1 train or multiples?

You probably aren't going to find a room near by, and frankly there aren't a great many hotels I'd consider "good" either.

The number of trains they run is totally up to the park. I would think with close to a hundred people they'd run two each, but honestly when we did this two years ago they ran one on each and they left half-empty as people burned out. I sat on The Legend for four straight laps (and felt it the next day, that's for sure).

I'm sad...I can't go. I knew a project at work that wasn't going well might be a problem but I held out hope until the last possible day. No Go.

If you're quick I just cancelled a reservation at the Ferdinand Comfort Inn.

Have Fun!

If I don't have your registration today, it's late and will be returned un-processed.

We will accept on-site registrations, cash only, $35, or $15 if you have a Holiday World season pass.

I will be a on site register, and this will be my second coaster event. I can't wait. I was at HWN this year and when it got dark, Voyage was almost impossible to get on in 20 minutes, I know, it isn't that bad, but just saying. Also, I rode Voyage on Labor day and to put it frankly, front seat sucked with trim. I wonder if they will run it w/o trim at ert?

My current club, Wood coaster, seems to be going nowhere with no website, no forums, and no newsletter in months. so I will be joining CB sometime this fall. *** Edited 9/21/2007 11:50:40 PM UTC by spaceace12***

OK, so I'm flying down to Louisville, KY from Detroit next weekend for the Fall Affair and since my plane back doesn't leave until 6pm on Sunday, I am wondering whether I should spend Sunday morning/afternoon at Holiday World again or visit Six Flags KK. Does anyone have any advice for me?

Hello Arw84,

I think you should go to SFKK on Sunday and ride on CHANG! It totally rocks! Better than Mantis for sure and you are techinally across the street from the airport... so why not... Have you been there before? If not, you should! Yes there is a lot of coaster to accompolish in small period of time since you would have to leave by 3:30-4:00 for check-in and blah blah... but I would go to to SFKK since you will already have a full day at Holiday World already on Saturday and need some STEEL other than the Howler from Holiday World! Just my freebie advice! *wink*
