X seems to be having real restraint issues. The upward restraints came loose on the ride the second time I rode. I was on the front/left/outside seat.

First I bow to your smiley.
OK anyway, I think that we were the "test dummies" for this ride. I think that these restraints are soo complex that they are malfunctioning due to overworking them, or they are just too complex. This ride will definatly need some major restraint repair before opening to the GP, I don't think they will like the feeling of restraints opening up on them halfway through the ride! I know I sure didn't!

I'm too lazy to put anything here....

I don't think anyone else noticed, but it was just something I had never felt before on it!
(sort of similiar to the lifting off the chain lift)

Check out the new http://indianabeach.8k.com/
ACEerCG, there is supposed to be a pedal-checker located near the base of the lift...if it miscounts pedals, the lift should stop. Apparently that wasn't working the day you visited.....
timmyk, all Jet Stars are supposed to be like that. :)
Glitch01, when the car careened into the brake it had enough momentum that the brake fin tried to climb the caliper. That's fairly common, and of course, when the brake opens, the car drops back down again. You would only notice it if you happened to be in the car that is over the caliper.
themonkeymaster99, what probably happened is that one of the cars wasn't securely attached (via the chain clutch) to the lift chain, and let go until one of the other chain clutches caught. Either that, or that particular train has a chain clutch on the lead car, and the spacing didn't allow the clutches further back to engage....when the lead car went over the top, it disengaged and the car bumped back so the other clutches could catch. I hope that makes sense! Knoebels' Whirlwind does it every time because that train has an extra chain clutch.
You want to see something really scary? Watch the top of the second hill on the Big Dipper at Camden Park as the train crests it.

Well, the first drop anyway... I put my hands up after that :)
I should probably feel even more unsafe on the the drives to and from the park. I know half of those people on the road aren't paying attention to what they are doing.
My scariest moment was on the Scandia Screamer, back seat. The lapbar kept popping up a notch. I kept pushing it back down, but it kept popping up again. That was one ride that I WANTED to be stapled. Scandia Screamer is one incredibly powerful "small" Miler coaser!

And then once in a while someone who is paying very close attention to what he is doing will do something wrong, with dramatic consequences. :(
Been there, done that, and luckily, walked away with nothing worse than some poison ivy. Screwed up my roller-coasting for the whole month of July for the second straight year. :(

Who still doesn't understand how that first skid happened...
