Epcot Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind opening

General opening was announced for May 27. I just got the invite this morning for the passholder preview, and got May 10. That should almost be a news story, because they announced this thing more than four years ago. Even with the pandemic, that's nuts.

I just asked my wife about the status of this. It felt like no one was really talking about this like they have been Tron but I suppose that's due to. how visible the Tron construction is.

Maybe later this year.... we will see.

I didn't think anything would top the lengthy delays for Test Track.

I didn't see my email until a little after 12 and by then the event was full. Wah wah.

Sounds exciting.

Too bad I'm not close enough to be a passholder.

Looking forward to my AP preview ride, first time I’ve been in town for one of these.

So... I rode this last week and this is hands down my new favorite coaster in Orlando*. Yeah, I think its that great. Solid ride.

*Have yet to ride Velocicoaster.

We'll be down there in June. Hoping we can snag a lap without too much of a hassle. I'm guessing this will be on virtual queue when it opens.

Virtual Queue will mean hassle, I’m hoping it’s gone by the fall.

It’s kind of a hassle but I suspect that people here will research enough to win it (or decide it’s not worth it). The 4 times I’ve tried a VQ, I’ve always gotten a morning group and once got group 1.

I’d rather that than having to fight a rope drop crowd or having to pay for it (or even fighting to reserve it 60 days ahead at 4am PT).

Whereas I'd rather just pay the $$ to get a skip the line ride on it without having to play the virtual queue game.

But at WDW, the 7am virtual queue game and the 7am Individual Lightning Lane are actually the exact same game. The only difference is ILL requires my credit card to be on file.

I'm going in not expecting to snag a ride. We'll have our phones ready to go just in case but there are plenty of new to me attractions (Avatar, Galaxy's Edge, Toy Story Land, Ratatouille) that will keep us plenty busy if we don't.

Just got off, it’s super smooth, very roomy and comfortable and just a lot of fun. I was smiling the whole time it is an excellent Disney coaster. Sentimentality will keep BTMRR #1, but this better then both US Space Mountains, but it doesn’t beat Everest or Incridicoaster. I could only go once but it’s very reridable.

Instantly my favorite ride at WDW. There is literally nothing else like it. Very fast operations. Can't wait to do it again. I think the song you get definitely would change the feels. I got "I Ran," probably the one I like least.

I have heard good things. I'm hoping that I'll be able to ride it "a lot" when we go in September, but I'm not sure what I'll need to do to make that happen other than pay a bunch of times.

^Personally I’m hoping for it being part of Evening Deluxe Magic Hours when I go in October, would plan on power riding it in the last 60-45 min.

Hoping as well, but I don't think Remy was part when it was "the new thing." It's our first time staying at the Dolphin and I'm pretty excited about getting the Deluxe proximity and benefits at slightly above moderate prices.

^It came on board a few months after debut but before it went off VQ. This ride also is back to old school Disney capacity and has impressive riders per hour levels, I don’t think VQ will last long.

I'm hoping for VQ to last only two weeks. Too much to ask?
