SFA - 1 day. Mediocre ride selection
Someone please help me off the floor.....and pick up my jaw. Limited, maybe. But mediocre?
You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)
Well... it's probably more skewed from my 6'6" perspective. S:RoS is incredibly painful with the modded restraints. Wild One was superb, and easily my favorite ride there. Roar was surprisingly lackluster. I didn't like Joker's Jinx as much as FoF at KI or KD. Batwing was fun, but nothing to write home about. And Mind Eraser is an SLC...
Overall, I'd say you're right. It has some pretty standout rides for its size, but it is still quite a small park. And I could ride Wild One all day! I tend to be a bit too critical of coasters. Just my personal opinion.

I was more surprised at this one:

SFGAdv - 3 days. Only 2 rides worth riding
First, I guess I could possibly justify a two day trip (it's the only park I've been to that rivals the scale of Cedar Point), but three? And only two rides worth riding? And if that's the case, why go for even two days (let alone three)?
Well, I was there in late July and knew it'd be busy so I wanted to make sure I could try out everything. Plus it was about 2/3 of the way through my road trip, and I incorporated "rain days" further along in the schedule so I could spend an extra day or 2 at any giving park if I wanted to.
And While there are only 2 rides worth riding repeatedly, I could spend all day on El Toro alone. With a season pass, why not?

Uh...whaa?
Doesn't SFGAdv have, like, 5 of the highest ranked coasters...in the world? (And that doesn't even include all of the B&M's...)

What does "Have a Six Flags Day!" mean? Six Flags is a noun last I checked how can they just adjectivise a word like that? :)
I guess it means the same thing as Have a Disney Day. ;)
I'm going to tell everyone to have a Beaver day :).
The other coaster at SFGAdv I consider worth riding is Nitro. KK is ranked, but meh at best. Bizarro (Medusa) is ok, but I get bored with most inversion based rides. Same problem I have with B:TR and GASM. S:UF is just plain boring.... I'd honestly take the Vekoma flyers over the B&M ones. Dark Knight is one of the better Mad Mouse style rides I've been on, but it is still a Mad Mouse.
Like I said, I tend to be judge some coasters too harshly. particularly B&Ms and cookie cutters (or close to it like KK).

Heck, I'd go to Great Adventure for Skull Mountain alone, but Nitro, Batman, Dark Knight, Toro, Bizarro all make me want to go back more. Especially Toro.
I guess I'm still more blown away that you spent 6 days at Great America. Maybe because its my home park, and (to me) its not that big a deal anymore. I'm glad you enjoyed it, though.
Was that 6 individual visits, or 6 days consecutive?

I guess it's different than having a One Flag Day six times.
+1 for creating a verb form of adjective.
The 6 days were spread across 5 different visits. And that just happened to be because I drove past it all the time, so figured I might as well stop.

I interpret "Have a Six Flags day" to mean have a really, really horrible day. :p
While I really, really ( ;) ) hate the park, Great Adventure has a few more than two good coasters. Batman is awesome. Medusa is almost awesome. Nitro is pretty good. Skull Mountain is good in the back seat, but lacks any special effects to make it interesting. Superman is okay, but not worth a two hour wait, or whatever. GASM is gone for good reason. Rotting Lumber is the sucks. Blackbeard's Treasure Train is interesting to watch. Kinda Ka was closed during my last visit, even though the website said that it would be open, so I hate that ride :) . El Toro is always seen in the top spot of many polls, and not just here at CoasterBuzz. Awesome traditional log ride, they do have.
People still hate on it all of the time, but I enjoyed the strange Togo coaster that they took down.
But, is the park really better now? Do they not still have any of these problems, for example?
understaffed park?
extremely long lines?
slow ride operators?
lethargic employees?
many closed rides throughout the day?
one train operations?
terrible food?
SFGAdv park has some decent rides, in my opinion. I hope that someday they will figure out why some people hate their park so much. In the meantime, they can still rake in the dough with the huge source of customers to draw from.

I think they are understaffed in not enough ride ops, 2 people checking restraints on Superman for example takes forever. Lines don't seem as bad as they used to be but I try to go on slow days. I don't think the ride ops are slow, they just need more of them. There aren't many closed rides because the park removed so many or have them SBNO that there arent that many rides they could close for non mechanical reasons. It's rare to see 1 train running on any coaster except the kiddie coasters that only have 1 train. Even last week when all rides were a walk on or 5 mintute wait, the only coaster running 1 train was Superman and it was still a walk on.
There was a lot of movement in the top 10 this week. Bizarro just slipped up to 2nd place in front of El Toro.
