IMO, the thing that The Voyage really has going for it is its woodsy setting. No matter how insane any future coasters are, I think it's likely few will match The Voyage's environment.
And, for what its worth, I don't think Voyage has a setting that is anything above "cool". I dig the trees and elevation change, but several coastrers pull off the terrain and trees combo better - Boulder Dash and Raven as examples, IMO.
Of course.. key words (or acronym) there, in my opinion. But, hey, that's your thoughts and all cool by me. Like stated.. its just a hobby, and human nature to agree, disagree, debate and question.
As for El Toro vs Voyage (..vs Rumbler, dammit!!), its inevitable, no matter how different they are. I'm just happy that we got what I will presume are two very good wooden coasters stateside this year, and that Ive been lucky enough to ride the Voyage already and have El Toro in my immediate future. So what if El Toro or Voyage is the better of the coasters? I think these are so different that it will undoubte3dly boil down to personal preference.

I asked as many as I could (probably 25 or more) if they'd been on HWs new coaster, 7 of them said they have been. Out of those 7 people, ALL SEVEN preferred El Toro over any other wooden coaster.
So only 7 out of the 25 that you asked preferred El Toro over Voyage. Did they all say if they had Voyage as their #1 coaster before they rode El Toro?
Did any of those 7 say if they had ever ridden Balder, or Colossos?
BTW, since we don't know the particulars of the Top 10 coasters of those 7 people. I can assume that they only have mediocre coasters listed, and any coaster that they claim to be #1 would be better than what they have listed so far.
