That being said, I'll see any decent band that rolls through Utah. We get maybe one decent show per month and I have to drive 2 hours to see it. NOTHING ever tours through Logan. I miss the scene in Chicago.

If you are into jam bands, why not listen to Keller Williams, String Cheese, or Bela Fleck? Ohh well, I'm sure I'll have funIncindentalist - I am thinking about going to Bonaroo this summer. Is it worth the money?
Another question. . .What is everyone's favorite Venue for seeing a concert?
Where do you think I came up with the moniker of Incidentalist? When I joined Cbuzz, SCI was my favorite band. I was seeing them several times a year and I thought it was a fitting moniker.
I saw Keller Williams for the first time in 1998. Since he's gained pop credibility his shows have regressed. This guys got 6 studio albums with plenty of material and he is relying more and more on covers to satisfy the pop scene that is more prevalent at his shows. Saw him open for Yonder Mountain on New Years Eve.
Right now I'm in a newgrass fix and Bela Fleck is the man and the Flecktones all kick major but. Too bad they're not touring this year. I'm planning to see Victor Wooten next Friday in Boulder.
I don't like O.A.R. and don't understand the hype. Oh well, I don't understand why everybody likes Umphry's McGhee either.
Bonoroo is a hell of a time. I haven't looked at this years line-up, but I'm sure it's good.
My favorite venue of all time is Mishawaka Amphitheater just outside of Ft. Collins. Small and in the middle of nowhere with a river running right next to the stage. Favorite big outdoor venue is a tie between Red Rocks and the Gorge in George, WA. Favorite indoor venue is the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, OR. Horning's Hideout gets a mention as my favorite festival location.
Word, you should check out the Appalachian Uprising festival going on the first weekend of June if you like or appreciate newgrass at all. I'll be driving through Lexington the Thursday of the show after hitting SFKK that morning.

With so many things to answer I have to double post.
What I meant to say was current top 100.
Still, I find it interesting how many people think a good concert is one where the band sounds like the album. I like the concerts where the band isn't under any obligation to play their 'hit' and can just unleash the talent that they truly have.
Case in point. During high school I loved Van Halen and saw them 3 times. Every concert was essentially the same setlist, basically a greatest hits collection. Eddie is a great guitar player, but his big solo was the same thing every time. It was just a collection of his solos from various albums. This guy has played those solos so many times that it almost isn't even impressive anymore as I'm sure he could play it in his sleep. But this guy obviously has talent. I want to see him rip into something new and fresh and off the cuff. Let's see what he really has.
On the other hand, Phish had a repertoire of over 350 different songs. Name another band that knows that many songs? Each show was different. In over 15 years of touring they never played the same show twice. Every time they played a particular song, it was a little bit, if not a lot, different. Each show was a unique experience. Each Van Halen show was the same thing, just a new year. I'd rather hear a couple of misplaced notes on a killer jam then the same old canned show that they've been playing for years and are basically just phoning in.
