Dragster Queue Line Music

I do not know the name of the one song that plays while waiting in the queue line for Dragster. It it not the republica song that plays in the station, but it sounds more like a late 70s or 80s song. I don't remember much of the words, except for that right after the chorus I believe the singer sings the word "fifty-five" or "sixty-five". It's more of a rock-type song. Any help would be appreciated.

"Ignore the screaming in the woods...Everything is fine! This is your last chance to escape the wrath of.... THE BEAST."

Sammy Hagar- "I Can't Drive 55"

But then again, what do I know?

Thank you so much

"Ignore the screaming in the woods...Everything is fine! This is your last chance to escape the wrath of.... THE BEAST."

I haven't been on Dragster so I can't say for sure, but a song from the 80's with 55 in the lyrics comes to mind.

Sammy Hagar, "I Can't Drive 55"

Shane was faster on the response - I took too long searching for the lyric link. ;) *** Edited 4/21/2005 2:55:18 PM UTC by redman822***

A song which he also sings as "I can't drive 65" since the speed limits changed all over the US.

Watch the tram car please....
What, they don't play, "Baby, I'm ready to roll!!" anymore?

My blog You said, "I'm gonna run you down." I heard, "I'm an orangutan."
Yeah they played that too, but nowhere do they scream "55" in that song...

But then again, what do I know?

Republica's "Ready to go" plays in the station. While Hagar's song plays in the queue along with others. I can't remember what else I heard during my wait due to the headache I got from going through a 1.5 hour wait without glasses... was to unsure if a glass strap would hold them and 1.5 hours without them is better than the rest of my trip or buying a new pair of perscription glasses. Sammy sure does scream 55 in "I can't drive 55". ... I can't drive *pause* FIFTY-FIVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! *** Edited 4/21/2005 4:57:13 PM UTC by dragonoffrost***

^Some more songs that you can find in the line, and I only know this because I design sound systems so i have a tendency to gawk.

I'm not too fond of those Community "Wet" boxes that are in the line, though they do throw sound and cover like none other.

Elvis vs. JFX - a little less conversation

Commander Cody - Hot Rod Lincoln

Hoobastank - Crawling in the Dark

Viva Las Vegas

That's all I can remember, I was probably talking to my friends and blocked out the other ones.

Who can forget "SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY!"?

Speaking of SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY, I doubt it will be returning this year because it said "Sunday sunday sunday are you ready for some speed, we got 120 mph, are you ready to get vertical? we have 420 feet, and you ready for the highest and fastest coaster in the world? are you ready for Top Thrill Dragster"

The recording can be found here:

Too bad the record has been beaten b/c I loved that recording.

They could still keep it exactly the same and just change "are you ready for the highest and fastest coaster in the world" to "are you ready for one of the highest and fastest coasters in the world?"

Ooh, I know! Best Coaster ON THE PLANET!
Odds that the highest-and-fastest recording will change? Approximately zero. Only MGs argue about crap like that.

Another one of the songs that is played in the queue, that hasn't been mentioned yet is, Capella - Move it Up. < a fav of mine on the ride next to Ready to Go.

BTW is it just me or is the link RoS posted no good ?. I'm not getting anything. *** Edited 4/21/2005 6:57:19 PM UTC by SFDLdan***

LOL Brian! Not to act like one one but its spelled "emgee" ;)
Dragster is still the tallest and fastest because Kingda Ka isn't a coaster, its a drop ride with a bunny hill.

;)

Just fanning the flames.

^Yeah, that's what I meant to type, but I was doing something with speakers and the particular model happened to be JFX88 and I just kind of slipped and typed that.

"Sunday, Sunday, Sunday" was getting annoying, but I still love the Republica song. :-)

Make sure you get the .wav extension on the URL and it'll load just fine...without the file extension, your browser will look for an executable, and won't find any...;)

Golden Earring's Radar Love i believe is also a song, but all the songs kinda go with that car theming.
