It's funny that after riding the first Batman in 1992, there was absolutely NOTHING in the world to compare it to and we all thought it was the greatest thing that ever happened. And then, 16 years ago, it was. Now there's how many different inverted coasters , not counting a dozen Batman copies, and not even mentioning the floorless species which came seven years later - and now we're arguing over which ones are better than others. You know what? Life is good.

The fact is, I would rather be friends than enemies. I love coasters as much as anyone and I love a good discussion on an interesting topic. There are many people here that I love to read their posts because they are truly knowledgeable. Believe it or not, mamoosh is usually very interesting and I agree with a lot of what he has to say. I believe he is honest and unbiased with his comments. I cannot say that for a few others.
If you want we can continue this crap, if not, I would love to get back to topic.

I have no need to create a 'pretend' online life. My real one's great. There's at least a dozen-and-a-half folks on here who know that for themselves because they know me personally.

So if I said, 'Gee, what a waste of time you'd be...I'm a little busy with my girl to be on here in the evenings, much less meet YOU' they'd say, oh yeah--that's CoastaBee. I met her/seen her around/know what they've been up to. Or 'Scared to confront people? Pssssssssssh COUGH I used to do that on the side for fun' they'd know exactly what I was talking about.

Or if I said 'In real life, I run a bit over 20 miles a week at a fairly consistent 8:00 mile, I've kinda let the kickboxing go by the wayside...but I honestly doubt I'd need more than a plastic spork to handle you in the first place' they'd nod. And nod again. Cuz they'd know I'd be telling the truth. On multiple counts.

But no one would have to know me personally--or you--to know the truth of this:

If you wanna make 'buddies' 'round here, you could start by posting just a bit more responsibly. Or perhaps taking a little time off until you figure out how that's done.
