Does a song remind you of a park?

The song is "Kryptonite" by 3 Doors Down. The ironic part is that it doesn't remind me of any S:RoS coasters, but rather another mammoth Intamin coaster...Millennium Force. I made my first (and only) trip to CP in May of 2000.

Wow, i was gonna say the exact same thing. I was there in 2000 also. Every time i hear that song im takin back the the that que line...quite strange. And i had been on s:ros a few times before that...

That Ashanti song (my days are cold without you) that I am now sick of reminds me of PKD. Of all the parks I've been to they (PKD) play the most pop songs. I heard a lot of Ja Rule, Fabolous, Alicia Keys and what's her face...Britney. I was constantly jammin' in the queues.

"You Can Call Me Al" by Paul Simon and "Bicycle Race" by Queen both remind me of the Beast.

The reason is that, back in the old days, the Beast station used to be a PARTY at night. They would blast the music and EVERYONE would be singing along and having a great time. Every time a train pulled in, the line would erupt in cheering and applause.

Anyway, the very last time I rode the Beast at night in this atmosphere, those were the last two songs I heard before hopping into the front seat.

Actually, this'll tell ya something about my age...."Jet" by Paul McCartney and Wings, reminds me of a certain oceanside pier/park in NJ...the song used to play A LOT, and it reminds me in particular of the Himalya ride (called Swiss Bob at the time, IIRC).....

I'm right there with ya gator. But for me it's "Love Will Keep us Together" by Cptn & Tennille. I only hear it now if I'm in a WalMart or Target and it never fails to bring a mental image of CP driving up the causeway (circa 1975). Sigh.....

WARNING: May be habit forming

Every time I am going up the lift hill on X, I always have the song "X" by Xzibit going through my head. "Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum X. Dum Dum Dum Dum X. X to tha Z and we all in the fam-i-ly"

What a Combo!

They really should make it their theme song DJVIC. Fits poyfectly

I used to love when they would play Top Gun Anthem at PKI. They still do sometimes. That song can really bring back some awesome memories of PKI.

"Air time is not a crime. Take a click, you're a prick" - Kris Allen (Jul 2002, HW)

I already said Unbelievable for the park and Raging Bull

For Deja Vu, I think Bohemian Rhapsody. (Please don't ask.)

For Shockwave, I think of Sum 41; "In Too Deep". Why? For one thing, as soon as you see what you're in for, you realize you are in too deep and over your head. Plus, I play the song on the ride and it fits perfectly. No joke.

"Authority Song" - Jimmy Eat World, because getting to the parks usually involves defying some authority figure...

Insert clever signature.
"We love Megan!"

That "She loves me not" song by Papa Roach bears absolutely no resemblance to a park. None whatsoever. ;) Love that video....

Brad Sherman
"Well sir, there's nothin' on earth like a genuine bona fide electrified 6-car Monorail!"
Model coasters and rides

Hearing "Close My Eyes Forever"--duet by Lita Ford & Ozzy Osborne--always transports me back to sitting on the dock behind the Greenwood Motel in Destin, Fla. with a cold beer in hand, the water lightly splashing on the shore, a nice cool breeze blowing off the sound, my buddy Ken cursing under his breath as he lost yet another piece of bait to the crabs below, and that song playing on the PA system of the water park just down the street.

--One banana, two banana, three banana, four....

I really wanted a banana buggy too

Two times in one summer, as my friend and I were driving to PKI, we heard on the radio the song Heat Wave (I don't know who by) and we thought it was really funny. So I'd hafta go with Heat Wave.

Hell yeah. I tried to tell them that, but like Six Flags listens to their customers...

I also think of "Let The Bodies Hit The Floor" by Drowning Pool when I ride Goliath. Perfect for the first drop and the intensity of the song matches the ride.

Coasters and Chronic
What a Combo!

"Sweetness" by Jimmy Eat World reminds me of SFGAm, and "Hit or Miss" by New Found Glory reminds me of PKI. By the way, "Kryptonite" really makes me think of CP too...that song was really big around the first time I visited.

Anytime I hear a techno song with a constant bass drum I think of Riddlers Revenge.

Mariah Carey reminds me of Cedar Point because I heard it like 165 times while I was there. It was one of the 5 songs they kept playing over and over and over and over.

Actually that song reminds me of Hurler at PKD since they always play it in the line and there's the obvious Wayne's World connection.

Happy Coastering!

Although I am too young to remember the park, the song "Palisades Park" somehow reminds me of of Palisades Amusement Park.

The Banana Splits - a classic Hanna Barbera Production and required Saturday morning viewing in our house growing up. I heard the theme song played many times in Camp Cartoon Network at SFGAm last year - always reminded me of Kings Island. My sister and I sang along, repeatedly, and recieved those same blank stares from my nieces.
