Does a single login system interest you?

My $0.02: I am not a fan of using social media logins for specialized sites - I have no problem maintaining separate logins for the few specialized forums I visit. I login to FB maybe once or twice a season, and basically just use it as an extended address book.

If Facebook/Google/et al became an option for logging in, I would not care - I simply would keep my CB login and not use them. If they became the _only_ option, I wouldn't sign up (or wouldn't renew). If you think offering them as an option would attract new users, by all means go for it :)

Honestly, using FB was the last of the options I was considering, because it's just slightly harder. I can add Google, Yahoo and LiveID pretty quickly.

Having forgotten my login credentials for other sites and whatnot, this is definitely a welcome idea. I'm all about technology and the newfangled internets don't scare me.

If the question is "will a single login system get more first-time people to post in the forums?" I suspect the answer would be yes. Although the registration is easy, people are lazy and/or don't want another account to remember. I know I've passed on various sites simply because I didn't feel like doing the registration.

Is more people posting on CoasterBuzz really a good idea? If it takes effort to sign in, maybe that weeds out some of the trolls right off the bat. I don't feel strongly about it. It's just an observation.

When I go to a NEW site I like to be able to use a system that I already have (IE Facebook) to log in and to populate all the profiles and such that all these sites like to have.

But After I do the initial log in I want the sites to be separate, so whatever I do on CoasterBuzz does not show up on Facebook (unless I want it to as an option or just using the like button).

That's my .02 so take it for what it's worth :D

I think it would be a great idea. It's convenient and it cuts down on the number of logins and passwords I have to remember.

Also, some of you guys don't get it, this would be just for authentication, nothing you do on Coasterbuzz would be posted to Facebook.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks, than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I am not more likely to use a site like CoasterBuzz if I can use previous accounts. Shopping is different.
