Flat rides are an integral part of the amusement park experience (but try telling Six Flags that!). I think I love riding flat rides just as much as coasters.
Out of the parks I've been to, I think Kennywood has the best mix of flat rides. They have old and new, big and small. I think it's stupid to just ride coasters
all when you should experience the other aspects of the park.

Flats are ok, but I hit coasters first...I like the swings, and witches wheel.

I love flat rides especially the Tilt-a-Whirl and scrambler. Alot of the post mention the flat rides at Six Flags Great Adventure. They sure did have alot of unique ones but when i was there on Friday July 20th most of them were not running. All the coaster were running except Viper. It was like the park was half dead. What gives!
KI, Kennywood has some good flat rides, but unless you've been to Great Adventure, you haven't seen what a good collection of flat rides really looks like. For those who would never ride a Chaos again, consider that before the accident most of us would've never though twice about getting on one. What other ride could be the next accident victim? In other words, I'll take my Chance(s) (pun intended).

Yes, Enterprise, The Monster, Scrambler, Trabuant, Tilt a World, Chaos, Supercat, Flying Trypeeze, Looping Starship. These are some of the flat rides I like at Valleyfair. I also like the selection at Cedar Point.

Inverted coaster coming soon to Valleyfair!
I love flat rides, and I agree that they're part of the whole park experience. I try to guage how long I'll need to ride coasters, and mix the flat rides in with that, instead of waiting until I've done all the coasters first. They provide a nice break, and a lot of different sensations that coasters don't provide. They're really nice when coaster lines are long, too.

I usually don't ride too many flat rides, but I do make a point to hit Huss Topspins and Enterprises. If another one looks cool, I'll hit it if I haven't ridden all the coasters yet.

the only ones i like are swinging shiiips and the power tower rides {whoa belly}.
the rst of them just get me sick all they do is spin
I find myself riding the flat rides as much of the coasters at KW since they have such an awesome lineup of them.
However I only went on two flat rides on our two day CP trip this year

I'm impressed, john!!! Nothing matches a wicked ride on a well-lubed tilt-a-whirl or a "10 minute spin" on a roundup. Yes, nothing beats a coaster, but a occasional ride ona spin-n-spew is always good.

I sometimes do falt rides on the way to different roller coasters. The occasional chaos or witches wheel is always fun. Also time warp at SFWoA is a cool ride.
I hate flat, spinning, whril-n-hurl rides, I can't handle them. Coasters are the greatest, but I always veer away from the spinning mechanisms.

I love flat rides! But when I go to a theme park I usually hit the coasters first. SFFT Has A BUNCH of flat rides!
Flat rides are great. Those are the only thrills at SFEG. I've learned to love them!
I love flat rides especially at sfgadv I got on everyone there and liked it i didn't feel sick either.
I find flat rides to provide many great thrills...at least some of them. Some rides, especially rides like Night Wing @ SFNE and the generic flat rides like chaos, pendulum, and others are very fun as long as there is not much of a wait. I think they are worth my time.

I really go for the coasters but I still love the flat rides. I hated when they took out Spinnaker at SFOT, I loved that ride! My fave flat ride is The Berserker at PKD! I like it being on International Street cause it's near the front gate, I always hit that first!!:):)
