Many of us would suppose that you could just listen to the podcast while you 'work'--that is, unless your system's processor name ends in X86 or you're on dialup.
Or I have no speakers, as they are not necessary to do 3D modeling.

If you pull a 90 degree turn around in your attitude, someone might tell you what it is.

While on the topic (and since we can't talk about the thread topic until Paula posts), why is it that newer members are treated to such immature behavior? Its hard to even take most people seriously here when you get responses similar to the ones I have received.

I think that is unclassy! ;) *** Edited 11/21/2005 8:44:44 PM UTC by a_hoffman50***

And Coaster Tool - I didn't ask the question with ANY attitude. Read my post before assuming that I'm a jerk. I only respond badly when treated as such.
That's funny. I have yet to call you any names, don't I? Yet you assume to call everyone kidding around with you bored grade-schoolers. Rather ClASSy, no?

Give and ye shall receive, shaken and presed down and overflowing or something like that. There's plenty of other folks who haven't heard the podcast, aren't around a PC (or easy-to-use, handy pair of earphones from their Ipod or CD player to plug in their PC? Hello engineer?) that don't have to get the answer RIGHT NOW when they ask.

What? I never said anyone called me names.

I read the thread, noticed the podcast had been posted, and that people were "in the know" about Voyage. I asked, since it had not been explicitly mentioned and received vague non-answers as if everyone else were allowed to know, but not anyone who hadn't listened to the 'cast. Now, if someone piped up and mentioned WHY they weren't saying it on the thread, that would have sufficed. But, I got the run-around.

And its already easy to tell who should be taken seriously and who shouldn't be. Thanks!

This is a forum.A forum, from Merriam-Webster's Online Dictionary:
1 a : the marketplace or public place of an ancient Roman city forming the center of judicial and public business b : a public meeting place for open discussion c : a medium (as a newspaper) of open discussion or expression of ideas
2 : a judicial body or assembly : COURT
3 a : a public meeting or lecture involving audience discussion b : a program (as on radio or television) involving discussion of a problem usually by several authoritiesPay close attention to (1b), (1c) and (3a). Thats why we can talk about the new element without Paula, to whom I mean no disrespect whatsoever.
Ahhh, but it's not necesarily a public forum, per se.
There are rules and it is owned privately by an individual.
The public is always welcomed, but like most 'real world' public social groups there are certain social 'rules' that the group abides whether consciously or not.
In this case, for whatever reason, most thought it would make more sense to wait for Paula to come in with the fanfare.
It's the real world equivalent of seeking a group of friends who are kind enough to let you in on their fun, then after a day asking them to dress differently, talk about other things and change their social rituals because you don'l like the way they do things.
And also just like most real world scoial groups, I never understood the mentality of the newcomer who walks in and tries to make all the others change. If you didn't like the people involved, why did you make an attempt to 'join' in the first place?
Bah, just an observation. I find it funny how the perception of social skills differ so much online vs real life.

If you choose to take rollercoasters--or message boards about them--SERIOUSLY. *Gag*
Dislodge that protractor and try having fun?
