2 boring ones, 2 unfun ones, 2 unplayable scenarios and 2 that were apparently not tested. ;)
Sorry, just in a mood today. :)
I keep getting yous confused... is it you, Gonch, that kind of likes the game, or is it Teckno that kind of likes RCT3? I know one of you hates it with a passion, while one actually finds the fun in it.
8 Senarios is more than 6, and sounds worthy to me... plus more open sandbox mode.
Aaaahhhhhh
I bought Soaked, but have no intentions on paying for Wild - hopefully some connections can come through and I can score it for next to nothing in the next few weeks. (Legally, of course. Don't DL software - even software as crappy as this. :) )
And I'll agree with you even that Sandbox mode is where it shines. If you just want to make big, pretty, unusable parks then you'll find little fault with the game. The second you try to run anything and get a little actual 'gameplay' out of it is when it falls stunningly flat on it's face.
Unfortunately for me (and seemingly several others), building stuff just to look at gets real old, real fast. I've managed to pump out my share of stuff, but rarely boot up the game anymore. It's just not fun. Hell, my last three uploads to CB Games were unfinished files that I lost interest in. Which is a shame because my files still seem generally well recevied.
Ironically, my first RCT3 upload was a year ago today. I've done just 39 files (parks, rides, one-offs) in that time.
I've tried to like it. I want to play and enjoy. I just can't. It sucks.

I get me confused with my quite often.

I don't 'hate' the game entirely, I'm just really, really frustrated. I can go in and make coasters and theme them, but I can't make a park because it crashes after a while.
One thing that ticks me off is they absolutely did not add any new elements to old coasters. They added a 'new' coaster, with B&M track, that you can decide if you want floorless, sitdown, standup, and what not, and it has new elements. They left the Vertical Drop Train out, yet it has a holding brake.
I've yet to pick this up.

I purchased RCT3 about a year ago and proabably played it maybe four times. A new expansion pack featuring new games, flats, and coasters for RCT2 would be cool.
Agreed! RCT2 was so much better and imagine the game with the flats of RCT3.

I know this solidifies me getting it & I'll be chomping away come Tuesday... and I know I'll get pissed on Wednesday because of the slow-down, but I'll enjoy the small parks I can build while it works.
