describ your personal max airtime experience!!

Hmmm...here I go down the list:

Jack Rabbit, Phantom's Revenge, Milennium Force (lap bar loose as heck and seat belt not tightened!), SFWoA's Big Dipper, Gemini, and Magnum had the most airtime to me.

I have GOT to convince my dad to go on a vacation to California...mainly for X and "The Drop" on GhostRider!

If you see me running, try and keep up!

OK, picture having the airtime from Jackrabbit's double dip on five drops in a row.  That's what Americana's Screechin' Eagle is like after the turnaround.

In the back seat, each drop of the second half makes you stand up, and you cannot sit down even if you try.  And you STAY standing until you're halfway up the next hill, until the forces SLAM you back down, usually onto the seat divider or sideways on your buddy's lap.  But before you can apologize and adjust yourself, BAM you're standing up again.

I have never laughed so hard on a ride.  Other rides are more "fun," exhilirating and thrilling, but Screechin' Eagle is pure joy.

If this now SBNO coaster is destroyed, I will weep.

Let's not forget the real king of airtime Shivering Timbers!! This coaster was truely amazing. I've never spent soo much time off my seat during a ride than my ride on Shivering Timbers. This coaster is definately a masterpiece and I salute CCI for creating such an airtime machine such as this. I recommend to all if you you haven't been on this ride yet, get yourself to Michigan'sAdventure and ride this thing. You will not be dissapointed. And with Cedar Fair now at the helm Michigan's Adventure os destined to become a world class park very soon. By having Shivering Timbers in their stable they're already well on their way. =)
Airtime?  S:RoS delivers in spades...front row, night ride...LOOSE restraints (thanks for pulling UP, ride-ops).  I was floating out of my seat for about 18-20 seconds total.  INCREDIBLE!!!  Apollo's Chariot did have some air, but not like that.  MF has one air hill, the third, and it was weak air IMO.  One shot of air that LASTED - S:TE.  "Bucking" airtime - I'll go with DB Hurricane, it was like riding a bull (I'm guessing, never having been on a bull, LOL).  As far as woodies with floater air...Villain!  And for out-of-control air, I'll go with the RAVEN, night rides... (Had to edit this and say...Have not ridden Shivering Timbers, YET - I guess those of you who have been on ST already knew I hadn't been on it since I didn't mention it...by looks alone, it must be awesome!)

Either Magnum or Millennium Force with no lapbar. Also, not a coaster, but Big Bang Plus on VertiGo offers some amazing air.

If you ride any coaster without a lap bar  you're a moron. Besides, you haven't done either one.

Day 3 of MM this year.  I was on MF and the lapbar had to be at least a good 5 or 6 inches off me.  The safety belt was out to it's fullest length.  We got up to the top of the lift hill, then that massive first drop I swear I almost came out of that thing.  It was actually quite scary and from then on I quit putting so much room between me and the lapbar.  Definately the best airtime of any ride I've ridden in a long time.

God please let SFKK get something in 2002. ANYTHING!!
Every time I ride SROS at SFNE (quite often), it is an airtime experience to remember, but especially the 4th hill (the one over the exit and after the on-ride photo). That hill just launches you into the lap bar and you stay there for a good while. Also, the last 2 bunny hills are quite furious. The back seat absolutely rules on this coaster.
Nitro comes to mind for nice floater air.
I think of Magnum for the most uncomfortable and painful airtime experience I've ever had. I couldn't wait to get off.
My craziest experience of recent memory came 2 weeks ago on the Cyclone at SFNE. After the turning 1st drop, you climb the 2nd hill and turn to the left. You then dive down again and as you reach the crest of that next hill, look out. I was absolutely reamed against the lapbar. I usually hold on when riding this for obvious reasons, but this time I was not. Wow, was that nuts. Cool though.
I know a lot of you won't agree with me, but the left side of rolling thunder in the front car is standing air on all of the hills. I think it has more air than Nitro, but thats just my opinion.

Well, I haven't ridden Ghostie since the retrack, but Cornball at night this summer popped me out of my seat on every hill. What a great ride! Sounds like I'll need to get to Knott's asap now!

Yeeee Haaawwww!
I'm with you Coaster131.  All you mentioned have great air, insane for some - PR :)   I was actually really surprised at the airtime on Big Dipper at SFWoA.  I've had a couple really FUN rides on it this season.

Christ how do you kids do it
Best Airtime on  a Wood coaster is Yankee Canonball at canobie lake park in NH and

Best Airtime on a Steel coaster is S:ros at SFNE!

Two great coasters!

loriu, you are absolutely right about BD at SFWoA - I LOVED that ride.  Amazing how a little work can keep even a 75+ year old woodie running nice and smooth...

The ejector seat on Maggie, 1-3.  you just float through most of the ride.
-----------------
PR has very forceful air, as do Raging Bull, Cyclops, and Magnum, seat 1-3. Jack Rabbit has good floater air, Millennium Force has good floater air on the first drop and the 3rd hill.
The best floaty air that I have experienced has got to be Millennium Force!!  I love the 2nd and 3rd hills!!!  The 2nd is the best cause you get close to 4 seconds where you just float very comfortably and then land smooth again.  Everyone is entitled to their opinions, to a certain extent.

MF and BKF's brake run.
Wild Beast at Paramount Canada's Wonderland. This one hill simply has one of the best airtime moments I have ever experienced. You go down the drop into a slow turnaround then you go down a small dip and over this one hill, and thats where the airtime lies in the third hill. I was on a two-click ride. One-click would probably get me killed and the ride attendants pushed it down a bit. Being only 5'8 and 145 lbs two-clicks was exceptionally high for me possibly around 6 - 10 inches above my legs. So as you coast smoothly around the first turnaround I prepare myself we go down a nice smooth drop and then over the hill. I could feel my butt almost touch the top of the seat. The lapbar just grabbed my knees if it werent for that I would have been gone. With it being a ACE Event, ERT on Wild Beast lasted about an hour. and once I found the front seat to have the best airtime. My friend and I rode that seat every ride after that. Many people will think PCW doesnt have any exceptional good coasters. But I believe Wild Beast is one of the wildest and most fun woodies in the world.

Top 5
1.) Beast 2.) Phantom's Revenge 3.) SROS (SFDL) 4.) MF 5.) Alpengeist

its funny but Blue Streak at Cedar Point seems to have the most airtime I've ever experinced!

I'm completely with you on that. Not only is it great airtime, but you are going incredibly fast and are floating waaaaaay over the lake. I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it.
